@Crazy Eights i miss the old school hockey myself also or policing to protect your star players. Too many liberties taken on star players today. But you need to realize that concussions don't come from just fighting and shoulder to the head hits. They also come when the body is jarred to a sudden stop from high speed. The brain smashes up against the skull. Concussions don't just come from blows to the head. This is why they changed the rules for blind side or vulnerable hits by the boards. But yes i wish fighting instigstor rule was tossed so our stars would not have to take beatings every shift from crosschecks and slashes. In the old days, you touch gretzky or lemieux, semenko would cave your face in next shift

@Crazy Eights ask any retired NHL veteran, they're gonna tell you the game is faster, more skilled, and exciting to watch than it has ever been. Technology has resulted in better equipment, harder shots, sports medicine has resulted in better managing performance and recovery, the game is unquestionably better than the trap clutch and grab 80s 90s nhl.

People take 5 second clips of guys like Messier, Domi, and Chelios and make them look like the worst humans to pay the game. They don't understand the times. I know Domi was a guy deserving of a few bone-rattlers from the crap he pulled at times, but I think Nicholls should've waited till Domi looked at him before laying him out like that. Oh well, Tie survived, haha!

Be real yo, the puck was long gone. If Domi has the puck its a clean check. Domi did not have the puck. If it were legal to just toss hits at players without the puck you sure would see more dudes laid out. Its not a legal play to check a player without the puck. That was one of those "refs were out of position...wink wink" Domi gets what he deserves no calls.
