It is raw salt, if you want to purify it, dissolve it in water, filter the liquid to remove the dirt, then heat the water in a large flat pan to evaporate the water, and the salt will crystalize out. Do it twice if you think it is too dirty...

Well, they are constantly jamming it, and so have to manually intervene 1 of every 4 or 5 throws. Putting their hands near the inlet seems like the least dangerous part -leaning. over that exposed flywheel with loose clothing looks much worse.

It is crazy how inefficient it is, but they are fine with it. Like in America that entire mountain would be moved in an 8 hour shift. Over there its like nah we just take 1 neatly stacked truck load at a time. It is amazing really.

You should see how salt is handled in the USA. I used to drive my dump truck strait off the street's of Chicago into their wearhouse just north of downtown chicago into the Morton-Salt distribution wearhouse, back in to the pile of salt on the ground, and they would load my truck up with a massive front end loader. No, I didn't wash the back of my dump-truck out after hauling scrap metal, but I did have to make sure there was no scrap metal chunks left. If you think ANY of our food supply is Hygienically produced, I got a bridge I can sell you.
