We all know the real reason. But the claimed reason? Black Panthers threatened the government, the other just people. Black Panthers wanted communism. In 1967, the Black Panthers released ten demands. They were… well, outright insane. Power to determine the future of the black community. (How?) All black men exempt from military service… in 1967 lol. All black men released from every single jail and prison. Anyone black can only be tried by black juries (meaning not representing your area). And then they demand housing, food, employment, and education. That last bit sounds a bit too much like Cuba for the 1960s. Meanwhile the other group, like I said, pretty much solely focused on what was happening only around them. New family moved in? Their concern. Government passes a bill? Who cares, it’s all ran by whites, we love it, they’ll listen to us!
