This is one of those 'Why didn't I think of that?' moments. I have been using the crochet hook method, but the dental floss is so much easier. No more chasing little beads all over. This is especially good for the smaller beads. The tiny crochet hook can split the yarn, but this works perfectly.

Thank you! I grabbed the wrong crochet hook today and called a yarn shop to see if they had a small enough hook; they told me that they recommend dental something, but couldn't remember what the product was called. You saved me a trip out of my way and now I can just hit the drugstore! You are a lifesaver.

Hi Laura, I am taking your Lace Shawl class in Craftsy. While knitting the shawl I keep thinking how nice if I can add some beads, but not sure of how to do it. I was really worried that it would be difficult and I would be ruining my project. This video is really helpful. Now I know that putting beads in knitting is not scary. I will try it in my next project. Thank you, Laura :-)

Is there a good video anywhere that shows how to add beads to single crochet using the dental floss? I have been looking but nothing turns up for crochet, at least I haven't found it yet. Thanks for any help on this!
