New to the game, but my strategy for infecting Greenland is to upgrade water transmission since it has a bay but no airport, and also getting some cold resistande and rodent transmission. Unless you are playing fungus or something that can be spread manually, you are screwed if Greenland closes its borders.

​@parasito199 basically the official scenario is about demons entering our reality to dominate and corrupt humanity and the government's actions are technically religious things that in theory will fight the demons, basically a plague of shadows but instead of being a vampire they are demons (it would be cool if the scenario had government actions like military forces fighting the demons, the populations arm themselves to fight the demons etc etc etc and maybe divine things to shake up the scenario and make it cooler)

I didn't know bird transmission helped with that! I'm new and my method for infecting Greenland in normal difficulty is to use two levels of water transmission and cold resistance. I still used birds anyway to help spread on giant continents, but usually it's still a boat that gets Greenland infected.

I've only started playing plague inc recently, and sure enough, my first attempt at a virus plague ended with the entire world dead except for greenland and half of iceland. It got me thinking, though... could greenland survive in a world where every other country had been obliterated like this? The first hurdle I could think of is the various nuclear power plants around the world. They'd explode within months of being left unattended, and I'm sure the nuclear fallout would make even greenland uninhabitable. So greenland would either have to send every nuclear engineer they had on a series of suicide missions into the plague zones to safely shut down the nuclear power plants, or PRAY that the governments of these plants shut them down before anarchy reigned.

They don't explode just from neglect. Actual accidents or sabotage has to happen for anything within a powerplant to go wrong. You don't just go on vacation for a week and it nukes itself. Even nukes require a very specific mechanism to actually explode.

I had luck with Fungus when I played it in Cure mode The disease began in Germany and as it was spreading very slowly, those infected were both cured and killed faster than the spread, resulting in there being no more infected people in the world making me win in less than 2 months in the game But unfortunately the game was on normal difficulty
