That's beautiful John. My key takeaway was the part you mentioned about raising our consciousness thereby rising above the plagues of the flesh. As a young man in my thirties, learning to navigate my emotions and desires, this is one of the most important things for me to remember.

We all have been at your shoes in our 30th, as for me I've started meditate in my 31 in a more determined manner. Many years later, I'd never regretted that I'd spend most of my free time to be silent, or to be contemplative or meditated. This was and is a treasure a real communing with the Divine, God, Source, Consciousness that actually helped me to keep going here in my flash. As John always reminds us - it's the most important WORK of all. Blessings

because him sort of laughing about the questions and answering in this non-serious "oh you silly child" manner might irritate people. i know i recently was a bit flaring up about that. then i reminded myself: john answers from his most honest and sincerest point of knowledge and wisdom. and he even says, he knows not everything and if that what he keeps repeating and repeating over and over is simply his deepest own belief - why shouldnt we accept it and be thankful to hear it? over and over again? unfortunately people have this wrong very immature hope or image in their minds, that he is an allknowing absolutely kind and flawless entity that will guide everyone to the solution of their own troubles without any work needed. he is not and never said he is. and when people realize that he is just as much a human and that they fooled themselves in hope of john fixing it for all of them...then they are disappointed and frustrated because he can trouble your mind with his sometimes deeply philosophical answers even more. which is also eventually a good thing to experience, to be disappointed over an illusion that you yourself made up on your own.

Hello John and/or Phil. Over the weekend, my grandfather passed away. I miss him dearly, but I feel that it is better for him. You see, he was suffering from cancer and was in immesurable pain, and we were definitely luckier than many other families during these difficult times, as we were all able to say our goodbyes. Through watching your videos, I have learned to take control of my depression and I have found better ways to cope with loss, so I thank you very much and wish the best for you all!

John, please please please answer this question. I can’t find anyone to give me a decent answer and it’s a hard questions to ask. My question is ‘why’. It is believed the work of man should be spiritual work. Therefore spiritual work must be real at all times. But what about when man didn’t exists, did dinosaurs validate spiritual work? They lived and died without any form of meditation so it seems. I sometimes feel that we make spirituality a construct, because it appears so much of nature doesn’t use it or need it. No one has ever said why spiritual work is important. If spirit exists, why aren’t we just a part of it? Why do we have to come here? What is the point when it appears so many other living things don’t go through we we go through. I understand the practice but I can’t identify the laws that decide if we are here (Alive in this world or a spirit in the spiritual world), that part of it never seems to add up. Who or what decided for us to be here? Do the same spiritual development laws apply to all living things? Does every spirit have to go through this? And what was spirituality before man existed to prove we haven’t made it up?

There are other humans and beings similar to humans in space but also beings from other dimension which live and walk among us...and are more Earthly and older than we are... Human is not the center of the Universe, neither is our planet or our galaxy. Check the latest videos revealed by the US Navy and Pent ag0n, and the TTSA and their revelation to the public... Why are we here. We are here to train to become gods, sadly we are rather destroying this planet than evolving... The growth of the population will destroy our kind and the nature and living beings around us

imagine how boring eternal existence might seem, how difficult it might be to appreciate, before experiencing the brevity of human life...not just our own, but also of those around us? similarly, as we get older and the brevity of the lives around us becomes more apparent, life can feel like it drags on, which helps alleviate any aversions to death. also, in order to observe someone's authentic behavior, it often helps to give them the impression they are not being observed ;)

To make whole, be whole......!!! That was most certainly the most wonderful expression for you to hear John. Watching this video, as with many others that I've enjoyed, I wonder if you realise, that you don't even need to speak to illustrate that. Even in that tranquil setting, the river is flowing quite rapidly, people move quickly through the field on their walks, and the cars and lorries whizz by at quite a speed........just like our thoughts, and yet there you are......solid, still, reassuring, calm, kind, warm, full of understanding, compassion, wisdom and love....Bless your heart for all those years of "work " !!!! I hope it is comforting for you to know that through your countless hours of labour to "be whole " so many of us have hugely benefited and are forever grateful to you ❤xx

The sad thing with a lot of really deep questions is that only God can answer them. You won't get many answers from humans because no one really knows them. So I guess a question I could ask is, why doesn't God speak face to face with us in conversation, to answer our questions clearly?

John, I have a question for you. I have a hard time reconciling myself with the Bible. It teaches us that God made the world in 7 days. But science shows us that this is not the case. How do you explain the gaps in the Bible?

Oh but John says “just be present” and that will take care of it 😂 I suffer from it as well, and meditation does help, but I needed instruction or else my meditation would make things worse due to not understanding how to respond to traumatic thoughts. “Proper” meditation definitely helps. So does cognitive therapy, as well as various techniques that rewire your brain, such as havening or affirmations.

I often wonder more, why do we LIVE? I feel that, as one being, we are all 'shards' and here to learn, gather experiences and bring them back to our whole, spiritual self. But I feel that to comprehend this and appreciate it, we need to let go of feelings of individuality in this existence. We're all a shared self. Be kind and loving to one another. Imagine telling someone with PTSD to “just be present.” That is the most insulting thing I’ve ever heard. You have to meet people WHERE THEY ARE. For someone suffering from PTSD, the present is trauma, because trauma is lodged in their system, playing itself out in the present. This teaching is NOT appropriate for someone suffering from such a thing. Dismissing therapists like that is really messed up. I mean, John even said “how should I know” in response to the PTSD question so maybe he shouldn’t have spoken any further about it like he did. I’m starting to feel like these videos aren’t for me anymore. I may unsubscribe.

Following one of your other comments here- "proper meditation" is about trying to reach or know that which is really behind the "me" I think I am. I've been meditating long enough to appreciate how really hard that seemingly simple thing is to explain. John's found it, but yes, just telling somebody in effect to relax isn't always a help when trauma is waiting to enter that space. But that peace is there, a goal to aim for. But first I think there has to be acceptance and of course that's where you would need to find the right help for you to come to terms with PTSD. Good luck. Trauma is finite, peace/love is infinite.

I have found that certain spiritual views, including valid ones, are sometimes difficult to integrate with practices in mental health therapy, as if they are not compatible worlds. It's best to find a therapist who at least has a similar belief system to you who can talk to you in a way you understand. For example if you are Christian, find a Christian therapist.
