@2.04 Ronaldinho Gaucho..?? I knew he had a new career..!

😅 By the way, did you know that Ronaldinho Gaúcho is now known as 'The Random Hangout King'-'O Rei dos Rolês Aleatórios'? 😅 He shows up at the most unexpected events! Just when you least expect it, there’s Ronaldinho, enjoying life to the fullest 😅 And somehow, no matter how random the setting, he always fits right in, bringing that same joy and energy he once showed on the field.

13:56 Why does she say: "Agora deixa EU dormir ..." instead of "Agora deixa ME dormir ..." ?!
@PlainPortuguese
@PlainPortuguese 25 күн бұрын
Olá! Tudo bem? When the verb *deixar* is followed by an infinitive, the object pronouns are used in the formal language: "Deixa-me dormir". However, the type of construction with subject pronouns ("Deixa *eu* dormir") is becoming increasingly common, mainly in spoken language. When "deixar" is followed by "que", we must use a subject pronoun after it: "Deixa que *eu* limpo a casa."

Muito obrigada! Question, do Brazilians shorten uma to ma? I have seen some brazillians do it in songs
@PlainPortuguese
@PlainPortuguese 25 күн бұрын
Olá! I have never paid close attention to that. But my guess is that because we link the *u* sound to the *humming sound* of *m,* making it a bit longer, it may sound like we shortened *uma* to *ma,* but in fact *u* is there. But as I said, it is just a guess.

I think I am going to just give up learning Portuguese. It's pointless because everybody speaks mega fast and I will never be able to understand them in real life. :(

@@MartinInAmsterdam don’t give up, I’ve been learning for the past year intermittently and the language definitely slows down in your head over time. Things I could have never understood before are clear now, exposure is key!

I couldn't agree more with you @TheVicco13! Don't give up! @Martinin Amsterdam Remember that, when interacting with someone, you can ask them to speak more slowly, rephrase what they said.

with this mindset you would never learn anything (: Keep trying. I am b1 in spanish and taught myself, I remember when I knew nothing. But now I am doing portugese and when I feel like you I remember there was a time when I did not speak my native language (;
