Autism, formally called autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or autism spectrum condition (ASC),is a neurodevelopmental disorder marked by deficits in reciprocal social communication and the presence of restricted and repetitive patterns of behavior. Other common signs include difficulties with social interaction, verbal and nonverbal communication, along with perseverative interests, stereotypic body movements, rigid routines, and hyper- or hyporeactivity to sensory input. Autism is clinically regarded as a spectrum disorder, meaning that it can manifest very differently in each person. For example, some are nonspeaking, while others have proficient spoken language. Because of this, there is wide variation in the support needs of people across the autism spectrum. Psychiatry has traditionally classified autism as a mental disorder, but the autism rights movement (and an increasing number of researchers) see autistic people with low support needs as a part of humanity's natural neurodiversity.From this point of view, people diagnosed with autism may also be diagnosed with a disability of some sort, but that disability may be rooted in the systemic structures of a society rather than in the person;thus, proponents argue that autistic people should be accommodated rather than cured. The neurodiversity perspective has led to significant controversy among those who are autistic and advocates, practitioners, and charities.As of 2023, consensus is growing among researchers of various empirical and theoretical positions that the established ASD criteria are ineffective to describe autism as a unitary biological entity, and that alternative ethical research approaches should be encouraged. There are many theories about the causes of autism; it is highly heritable and mainly genetic, but many genes are involved, and environmental factors may also be relevant.The syndrome frequently co-occurs with other conditions, including attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, epilepsy, and intellectual disability. Disagreements persist about what should be included as part of the diagnosis, whether there are meaningful subtypes or stages of autism,and the significance of autism-associated traits in the wider population.The combination of broader criteria, increased awareness, and the potential increase of actual prevalence, has led to a trend of steadily increasing estimates of autism prevalence,unintentionally aiding the disproven myth perpetuated by anti-vaccine activists that it is caused by vaccines. There is no cure for autism. Although early intervention services based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) can help children gain self-care, social, and language skills,independent living is unlikely in more severe cases. Speech and occupational therapy, as well as augmentative and alternative modes of communication, are effective adjunctive therapies, but some in the autism rights movement consider ABA therapy unethical and unhelpful. Pharmacological treatments may also be useful; the atypical antipsychotics risperidone and aripiprazole are empirically validated for alleviating co-morbid irritability, though these drugs tend to be associated with sedation and weight gain. 😊

@@user-lp9hs3st5r i mean if you're not enjoying it when jerma does it (and has a compulsion to snap everyone's neck for some reason) then what's the point of watching him play it? tons of streamers/LPs engage in the manufactured goofiness, they're enjoying it for themselves for the first time and they're not gonna deprive themselves of it because some other guy did it first. that's not how video games work. the hope is that after seeing it for the first time, watching someone else do it will be different because of their personality or what they talk about (un)related to the game the "spin" here is seeing that jerma can't help but kill all the time. if it's not for you then that's okay but there's no point in ragging on everyone else for it. you can't argue taste (much as i used to try), only share that you didn't enjoy it and skip past treating other people like simpletons. one's sharing an opinion and the other is treating people like they're idiots

This is exactly how every streamer plays this game. It's like the opposite of youtube bait. A game that's actually fun for normal people, but youtubers and streamers just spend hours reloading saves because they randomly batter someone over the head with a wrench, over and over and over. Possibly the only Jerma stream that didn't send my sides into orbit.
@hrovardran4755Күн бұрын
Yeah really. I thought these were supposed to be classic streams but this is just painful to watch.
@Oldass_Deadass_dumbass_channel19 сағат бұрын
Speak for yourself, this is exactly how I play Hitman. If anything, he's better at resisting the bloodlust than I am, using blunt instruments and such. Don't have to worry about guards or witnesses if you just rapidly transform all who get in your way into a corpse with a suppressed .45 caliber "how do you do" to the forehead before suddenly and inexplicably becoming a brand new person with a change of clothes. Not everyone plays Hitman how it's ""intended"". And frankly, watching someone slowly stealth through the mission, kill the targets, and escape without any incident and get the highest score possible would be boring as shit compared to stuff like this. There's a reason a good chunk of the most popular hitman videos are killing everyone on the map or speedruns. Most find watching the ""proper"" way boring.

Streams like these are where I feel the least like a Jerma fan because I just get pissed off watching Jerma refuse to play a game correctly, but still playing as much of the game as possible. He has played every version of Hitman and refuses to do stealth or do stylish kills or anything that Hitman was designed to do. Jerma insults the design ethos of the series by just treating it like it's another sandbox where fucking around and killing innocent people is the whole point, when Hitman was specifically designed to be rewarding when you only kill the target. It's actually insufferable, but I guess I never have to see him play a Hitman game again...

I think that Hitman, or at least Blood Money, always was part comedy game. It took delight in funniness, cariacture, and comeupance. Its weird physics and late 2000s edginess only made it funnier. The new games seem vaguely modelled after that, and Jerma's relentless comedy gene made it work for me.
