You can change the settings by setting up your POA Charger filters to only show EA if that is your choice and also DC+, then try it! May work may not!

“There’s settings?” Try, “there are settings.” BTW, my Ioniq RWD at 80% shows 60 to 70 miles more as to your 180 miles. Is the dual motor, heavier car, faster cruising speed factors in the decreased efficiency? I find PlugShare trip planning easy to use. Thanks snd be well.

Interesting! Never thought we Ioniq 5 owners would actually get this. I actually witnessed pre conditioning working in my Ioniq 5 top spec RWD recently. Never thought I’ll get that either. Hyundai keeps surprising me!

Hope the software update will be coming soon without having to go through the engineering mode. In the meantime I will stick with ABRP or PlugShare to map out my charging stops while on a road trip. So glad that Hyundai has been making improvements to the I5 for existing owners. Battery preconditioning has been great and soon route planning. I am a happy 2022 owner! Thanks Corbin for keeping us well informed.

Cheers for the mention. The US version is actually more advanced than the EU Nav version after watching Jeff’s video. The EV charge station filter works & also you get the miles displayed between stops in the route planner.

The process in other videos to get to the engineering screen comprised of pressing the radio scan tune button, which didn't work. Finally, I'm glad to see a process that works.

FYI I had my I5 software updated a couple weeks ago - and it does not have the EVrecommendPOI check box. Bummed was thinking of driving 5 hours away - Guess I’m using gas for this trip.

Not really sure why it is routing you to an EVgo charger in Springfield, VA when there is an Electrify America literally 1 mile away at Springfield Mall. It's probably still best to rely on ABRP or something similar.

I suspect much of this is living in the car from the October infotaiment update. Given the Spring 2023 update will be here before not long, that will probably get it where it needs to be for the launch of the Ioniq 6.

I have a notification set up in the EA app to let me know when they’re available, they’ve only shown as coming soon for the last month or so, I’m not really sure how long the process takes. This system obviously isn't aware of weird habits in the US, like selling cars with free unlimited charging (that clog chargers everywhere)! It's aimed at normal EV driving needs (finding chargers along the way).

this is scary stuff folks need this for EV, i would rather stick with petrol. Also when everybody is eventually forced unto EV, i can already see a booming business in manufacture of tow behind or roof mounted electric generators for EV. When the practice of mounting electric power generators to EV gets so popular most people are doing it, the world will finally come to its senses and return to petrol. I Also heared its dangerous to park EV in or near your house cause of EV battery fire. I fear no amount of software updates can solve the EV issues, what EV needs is hardware update back to petrol, so you dont have to plan your rotes like you back in the stone age using hitech devices.

There was a picture trending around the internet on fake news / consipracy theorist channels showing a generator for an Ev Charger letting think this is what people do with EV, but just pure fake news. It was just a performance from an artist.
