So this is great and helpful! But just a warning to you all this HURTS the day after for beginners like me. I am not crazy out of shape as i hike a lot and used to compete in martial arts but just started strength training, did this yesterday and I am pretty much laid out today. Don’t push yourself too hard with weights like I did!

All the ab machines, except the Torso rotation, I feel those way more in my arms and shoulder than I do may abs. I really like how you showed other exercises to do without ab machines. Thank-you!

Does this workout make your waist bulkier because i think that the side movements work your waist outwards? If it does, can someone suggest an ab workout for the gym that doesnt work your waist outwards but makes it slimmer and hourglass?

No, if anything training the obliques makes them tighter. An hourglass figure is not something you can get by doing exercises, but training the back - especially the lats - can give you an illusion of a smaller waist.

I just found your videos. They are very Informative. I’m now subscribed. I am an older woman who is pretty active , does yoga 4x/Wk and also does Zumba twice a week. I also have a planet fitness membership that I haven’t used in almost a year! 😯. However I need to do lots of toning and want to start utilizing my membership. These videos are great in guiding new users on how to use the equipment. Can you alsooffer some suggestions for the amount of weights to use on each machine for someone just starting? I weigh about 163 and I’m 5’1”. Thanks.

I usually do the treadmill and it depends how much time I have that day. If I have time, I’ll probably be on the treadmill doing 10-15mins to be honest. I hate cardio lol so I’ll do some jogging/uphill 👍🏽

My waist is already small/ tiny as well as both of my sides when I go to planet fitness I am more so concerned about working my Lower Abs only which may have to do with my digestive track which is why I struggle with achieving the lower AB look that I want

Lower abs are the hardest to flatten especially in women because we tend to hold an extra layer of fat there. Stomach vacuums are a great way to make your stomach smaller overall. Good digestive health can also help a ton with extra bloating. Take probiotics, get plenty of fiber, drink enough water. Stretching and twisting/rotating your abdomen can promote peristalsis in your digestive tract and make it easier for you to go to the bathroom. To tone your lower stomach: try leg drops, flutter kicks, heels to heaven crunches, reverse crunches, planks, etc. if you want to see muscle definition in your abs incorporate weights into your abs workouts (you actually don’t have to be extremely low body fat to have abs at all..just train for hypertrophy with weights). If your primary goal is to lose the weight there you have to lose more weight overall as we cannot spot reduce fat. Toning it up may help you achieve a flatter look however!

PLEASE BE CAREFUL I asked The Manager at PF about cancelling my membership at Planet Fitness & if she could write down the my last day. I Watched her write my name on a sticky note, and then a bunch of other words & paid no Attention, she then took another sticky note & wrote the date on it and handed it to me. When I asked about the other paper, she "crumpled it up", said it was something she "needed", & threw it on the counter Behind her, and wouldn't let me see It. It was information off my account, she wanted for some reason she wouldn't share with me, but wanted for personal use is what I got out of her behavior.

Planet Fitness is a horrible gym to go to if you really take your fitness goals serious .At 10 dollars a month you are walking into a bar scene -club scene where a bunch of 20 year old kids go to hang out ..Also staff is rude and acts like they are a somebody when they are a clerk getting paid 8 dollars a hour...You get what you pay for.Go to the gyms where you pay 50 dollars and more a month and you get better equipment...better vibe in gym..Nicer staff and people around you who are actually there to work out!!!!
