89 episodes in man.....on the same zoo......I think you've earned yourself a little break here and there when needed without having to apologize for it, lol. I appreciate the apology, but with the amount of episodes this series, you've more than earned a few breaks, lol.

Dude, chill out. These past three months have been tough for all of us, and you are no exception to that, I'm sure. You do NOT have to feel a responsibility to keep us entertained, because we'll be there no matter what. Work with your own pace, and the legitimate WORST thing that can happen for us is you getting burnout, or not enjoying recording. Being "inconsistent" with episodes is barely an annoyance. :D

exactly! like sure i get bummed when theres no episode, but at the same time i know that if theres no episode its more than likely because hes tired and feeling burnt out. all of us who care about him and his content would rather him be feeling well and enjoying his work than forcing out content hes not happy with just to make us "happy".

I’ve said this before, but I’d rather see you spending more time on making the zoo the best it can be than just trying to get new animals in constantly. While that groove was fun for a bit, I enjoy all the parts of the let’s play and I didn’t like leaving pieces behind undone for long periods of time.

I'm all for tying up loose ends now, they've been forgotten for too long. Once the new zoo opens it'll be even more difficult to beautify this zoo. I like what you have planned & I enjoy watching the process of descion making. It's real & fun.

My Degree in Horticulture, about to come in useful!!! *coughs officially* Well Party! Trees are naturally competitive, growing tall towards the light. It is definitely more natural to find many different species together, the most successful specimens thriving. It is a complete man-made notion that you find monoculture forests. It may be that if we left the world to go wild, secondary succession would mean that one specific species would dominate. Such as here in the Uk, the Oaktree. However, nature is always raging a war! Sudden Oak Death is currently threatening many of the Oak trees around the world. It is much more realistic that, around an oak, you find many other trees, Alnus glutinosa, Malus sylvestis, Fraxinus excelsior, Fagus sylvatica, Betula pendula and many more! (Sorry, I had to get some Latin in the nerd this up to an elite level!) I know that in Elite Zoo North, there is a natural monoculture of Pine Trees, As they can survive the harsh climates of the Canadian tundra, However, if you look closely the diversity of species, despite them all looking like pretty Green lollipops, you will find! Pinus Sylvestis, Pinus banksiana, Pinus densiflora, Cedrus Officinalis, Thuja spp. Chamaecyparis, Juniperus, Larix, Picea, Cupressus, Sequoiadendrion and many more! (Ok, Emily, Calm down with the Latin, now your just showing off!... Sorry) Meaning the more diverse the better, having said that, please don't feel the need to change the cherry blossoms. Humans have been growing trees on mass for centuries so if it isn't naturally correct it is certainly historically correct! Ok, ill stop rambling now. Thanks for giving me an outlet for being comfortable to write all of this in a youtube comment. To a group of people I don't know, and never will. Yet I know that everyone watching your videos are likeminded, nice and chilled people. I feel that it is an honour to consider myself in the same 'elite' community! Toodles for Now!

I was watching another Zootuber, and I am pretty sure their train station kept it's name even when they closed the station to edit the track, so you could check if this is something that's been fixed. When you create the raised walkway over the flamingos, make sure it is high enough for the keepers to walk underneath (it'll be fun, use the grecian columns to support the bridge, use the sculptures to top a few pillar supports.) If a path isn't placed directly on the ground, it needs railings. My 2 cents for the next zoo. EZN was very organically put together and expanded upon. Maybe in the next come up with a rough plan for placement of guest services, staff villages, what type of zoo transport and where to have it run so you aren't trying to jam these things in-between habitats that have already been placed. Also, I would love to see buildings limited much more to guests such as vendors and viewing areas, leaving habitats much more natural with the potential exception of hard shelters. Love this series.

i would like the rest of the episode to be finishing all the old parts and empty gaps in the zoo. and not add any animals until the new series. as i feel like the are alot of unfished areas in the zoo that i would feel odd about leaving if you still brought in new animals now. i would like the zoo to be as closed to finished in all the areas you already have.

So, one of my favorite takeaways from being in the military is the importance of self-care. Maybe that’s really not what one thinks when it comes to military, but it’s true. Being squared away mentally and physically is imperative to every mission. Im glad you’re taking care of yourself. Nobody is 100% perfect 100% of the time. Having great consistency is amazing, but without a break is unsustainable! I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say, you enjoying what you’re doing and enjoying the episode is what makes your content so great. So do what it takes to keep that up, and if that means taking a break, that’s 100% acceptable. Glad you’re feeling better. Lovely episode- I really appreciate some episodes focused on getting those details in. Your attention to detail is so impressive. Also I’m super jealous you’ve been to Tokyo.

to fill in the clearing by the great wall, you can place trees into the ground, you could place them deep in the ground to have the leaves sticking out and it is pretty dense and looks natural or you could place the trees in about halfway and make it look like short trees and the wont block the view because they will be low and short

I think (this is just a personal opinion) you should spend the rest of the episodes beautifying the zoo as there are many loose ends such as the wayfinding paths you started and then add the rest of the animals in elite zoo south. otherwise, the new zoo may be finished very quickly and you will be left with only a few animals. keep up the good work party

Party we've all been through a lot the last few months, so don't feel like your responsible for keeping us entertained. Take as many breaks as you need! These past 3 months have been hard on everyone so we understand. The "new" train station look amazing and I'm so glad you are going back to finish past projects. Also, add new animals whenever you feel you are ready. I don't mind waiting for a new animal to be added at all.

I’m really excited for elite zoo south and I like the idea of having it in Australia, the whole “across the world”-idea. It should also be interesting to se how you go about it since the way you build the enclosures and everything else has evolved so much. I was thinking that in the next zoo maybe you could use something other than trains as the main transportation in the zoo? Maybe that’s a bad idea but I think that it would be more interesting to see how you would integrate maybe the gondola instead of trains (I don’t really know what other forms of transportation there is so that was just a example) I know that won’t be happening anytime soon, but the thought just popped up. (Sorry if my English is a bit all over the place 😅)

Hey Party, I don't know about everyone else, but I have kind of felt how we sped up adding animals since we started trying to "complete" the zoo. It was very high paced and while I LOVED seeing the new animals, it was a change from what we were doing before. And it kind of caught up to us. I love seeing new animals as much as the next person, but I think you should add them ony when it feels right. If we have to abandon stuff that's going to bug you and us for 10 more episodes, maybe it would be worth it to first finish that up before moving on. I know you talk about doing something up to 80% and then finishing the last 20% later, so mabe let's have like a maximum of 3 things done up to 80% because once it gets to being much more it just feels a bit uncomfortable. Oh I sure hope that you can carry over the exhibit animals. It makes no sense for money not to carry over. If it were real life you'd obiouvly invest some of the money you have in the new zoo, so you could at least "invest" by selling those exhibit animals.

I friggin love all-nighters when there's an early access on something or new DLC, there's so much hype going on! I'm older & still do a ton of all-nighters but ...okay, i sleep all the next day. IT'S SO WORTH IT! For me, I don't mind if you take all the time off from PZ that you need to. you're having fun into things, other than PZ, just like the rest of us :) Besides, Planet Zoo is not like most games, there's a ton of tedious work involved, I'm usually wiped after putting in a new habitat. I don't know how you create such beautiful works of art! TYSM for sharing with us! EDIT: wish you had some new merch with some of your phrases like "ok, fair enough...fair enough"

Hello!! I'm nearly halfway through the episode but i couldn't resist more and i had to tell it. 1) I think you can already tell it by the other commentaries but we are all okay with you taking days to yourself because you don't feel good so don't feel the need to apologize this much, i can assure you, it's fine! 2) No on what i wanted to say ......... I really miss the times when you built some majestuous structures or buildings. Like, you threw yourself into the constructions and you really put yourself into it with so many details and i loved that. The thing is that i feel that you don't do that much anymore, only using construction pieces and things. I'm not saying that what you did with them was horrible because they're NOT but just that ..... i miss seeing you build thing in real-time and not in time-lapses. Here it is. That's all i wanted to say besides the fact that you're an amazing youtuber and human being and that you consideration for your community is really heart-warming.

I 100% agree with what you were saying during the construction of the station. I love it when you take your time building... buildings like this instead of adding a new animal every session. Two titan beetles have died, that might be your whole population after the management sessions. You could make a barrier of one way glass next to the paths in the flamingos and mark them as "not a habitat barrier". You'd still need to put a lid on it (sadly no horizontal one way glass options and allow the flamingos to pass, of course. Exhibit animals do pass through to other zoos, so that could be a quick start, but maybe a more modest start is part of the charm as well? Your zoo is absolutely beautiful, and you can be proud of it. I do agree that the animal additions went a bit too quickly lately to keep up. Compared to the earliest episodes, we get a lot of timelapse, that must take a lot of time to do. I would love to see more of the building process in real time, with an insert with reference images (if that is workable with copyright). Keep yourself healthy, we'll still be there, and don't want to see you burned out.

i remember reading somewhere that even though flamingos can have people walk through the habitat, they don't necessarily like having so many people watching them. and it looks like they get particularly stressed when being watched while eating. it might ruing things somehow, but maybe you could try to enclose their food trays and stuff? just have a space for them to completely hide from view if they feel like it. there's so many of them that i doubt they'd all be hiding at the same time. and speakers should also help, those that gives out background sounds and stuff (i forgot what they're called). also, when starting a new zoo (or even from this point on), maybe you could try making it a point to finish what you put down either in the same episode or before you put down a new animal? that means; habitats get finished, paths get bins, lights, benches, etc, stores and staff facilities, stations and even utility and blank spaces gets covered and whatever else you placed down and started on gets completely finished. that way you won't have 100 things unfinished 50+ episodes after you placed it down. I much rather see a more finished zoo and maybe see the different animals a little bit more than getting rushed through every single animal and having an zoo that's been under construction in the same place for however many years your zoo is open for.

I think you should just keep the flamingle park as a walkthrough, I feel that making it an overpass would take away from the experience of the habitat, it wouldn't be much of a flamingle park anymore and seeing as their stress isn't consistent, it may just be a bug.

The very first comment I made on one of your videos was something like “finish one thing before you move on to another.” I still stand by that. Take breaks when you need to. I think a balanced format would be one day a week you build habitat of one new animal and add the animal and any visitor buildings needed in the area, then a day for management while the third day is to beautify and complete the new area. This way you complete what needs done in each area, you can see how the new area impacts the zoo (cough cough polar bear mafia nightmares), and you can complete it to your satisfaction. Also no area is forgotten. I like every aspect of the zoo expansion and management. Pace yourself. There shouldn't be any reason you should feel rushed. You are building an amazing zoo. Thank you for sharing this series with us viewers.

Plus one on what others said about you taking all the time you need. I think it’s safe to assume most of us want you to be healthy and happy much more than content (not that the content isn’t amazing-it is!). But anyway, I really enjoyed the pace of today’s session. It didn’t feel as rushed as it has felt a few sessions now so it took me back to the beginning a bit. It felt more organic, less stressed. It came through that you got more relaxed and sounded more like yourself towards the end after the apologies (which while appreciated, you don’t have to!). Super excited for what you have coming on the channel! As far as the park goes, I think you missed an ATM near the new station in the workzones set up (to the North of it, not the one you caught). Also, this is super random but when you mentioned the bunny shape it reminded me of something I’ve noticed and am not sure if you’ve seen or addressed it. The Wolf Rock exhibits (eyes) and the entrance train (mouth) together from bird’s eye view looks like a face to me! I see it every time! Thanks for the episode and taking such good care of the zoo, PE! Always rooting for you and the channel. Have a great weekend!

Oops another long-ass comment -the real talk we didn't know we needed. I thought I'd be the only one who DIDN'T want so many animals so often in favor of completing what might be meaningless decorations to others. For example, maybe amping up the decoration of staff buildings so that we can put them closer to where they need to be (because it finally lowers the negative impact radius). Or maybe being able to widen the path in older parts of the zoo that were originally built around the mechanics of the radius? We could look at that when we go through with the next wayfinding pass. The staff do have a lot of distance to cover in general so being able to tighten that up would be nice. -I was doubtful of the brick with that roofing at first but it totally works. Lovely build, not overcomplicated but feels complete. -no, no southern Bengal tigers, we would be soft-locked between the trade center capacity and the OCI (opposite commitment issues) lmao -That Glacier Freeze Gatorade in the monkey exhibit is pretty dope, gotta love the perfect balance of realistic and cheaty-face lighting the developers went with lol -Even if they never use the benches, oh well. Rather overdo than under when it comes to persuading guests to stay longer -the guest projected visit theory is probably correct. They don't assume that people will build every enclosure averaging 4x minimum space so it might just be the fate of the zoo, up the speed of the trains if it isn't max (never change! The enclosures are very feel-good because views are fine and animals want more than bare minimum irl) -maybe scooch the lights on "Himalayas" down a smidge, it's a "functional" sign and should be legible not just artsy.

For the flamingo enclosure if you don't want to completely overhaul your beautiful work and turn it into a walk-over path, you could maybe try a glass arch similar to your orangutan enclosure. You'd need gaps in the arch here and there to let the flamingos pass through to the other side obviously, but I'd hope that would limit the stress to only when they go through the gaps to cross over or if they get extra gutsy and go into the tunnel with the guests. Trellis arches covered in flowers/vines are common in gardens, so aesthetically it could work I think.

Have some empty space by the maze & flamingos that’s been unoccupied for a long time. It could use something to take up some space. Another empty space is by the rhinos and Komodo dragons, & a third by the tapirs. That last one is prolly gonna get filled with a South American animal tho. Still fingers crossed for those Siberian Tigers

OK! I have to say i LOVED that station and i can't wait for you to finish up all the other stations. - I do sugest staying at the limit of plants that the flamingos like, i think that and the stress is what brought protestors - I noticed a few little spots makred red when you checked the work zones (around the arctic and the asia areas i think) probably just an ATM but still. - You do have some floating trees where you decided to make the blank area a bit of a forest and i think there was a food stall you added the episode before this (next to the snow leos) that has a tree in it. Think thats all i noticed that can be fixed quickly- was a really nice episode actually.

i love seeing the little details in the beauty passes you put in - i totally agree that it give a sense of wholeness being able to have an overview and see finished areas and i like that pace, seems more detailed less rushed (not that any previous content has been, just gives time to go in-depth on areas a bit more!) that being said as other people have pointed out you really dont need to apologise for taking breaks! we can see how much effort you put it to this game (and the various others you have on your channel) you choose to share your game with us so if you want to make the choice to take a break thats absolutely something you have the right to do. personally i’d rather watch you play in a state of mind where you look forward to opening the game and putting passion into play than feeling forced for the sake of your audience! put yourself before us always, myself and the majority of others i’m sure will always be here! :)

Hey Party, try closing the bengal tiger entrance to flamingo park. There are big crowds there because the guests are shortcutting. Making the path smaller in flamingle park just made it crammed and impossible for people to leave the area. Just a tip. Good job on the train station!

Asia as a whole looks beautiful though I think an extension of the maqaue mountain range might frame the area well like the trees do on the other side of the zoo. It would be a great 'bookend' for the area.

I personally wish for a more balanced approach and an order of things. I miss when we had a routine. So for the new zoo i would like to see us having a actual (rough)schedule for how we do episodes like new south animal, beautify, manage/staff, trade, guest focus, lose ends, north zoo, back to south with new aninal. Something along those lines where its a consistent content and we get to everything more often. I love seeing new animals but after while especially in the last 25 episodes it seemed like we were doing animals so much we forgot about everything else. And i really love how you plah every aspect of planet zoo.

I think creating Elite Zoo South in Australia would be great esspecially for when an Australian DLC comes out so you can add the new animals in there. I also think using the next few episodes to complete the beautification is the best way to go before you give yourself even more work with a new habitat.

I feel like you should just finish beautifying the current zoo and finish the lighting there are a lot of dark spots in the zoo, I also love watching you build. And the animals need to have their enrichment checked some seem to have low enrichment. Don't get me wrong I love seeing new animals added but I would also love to see the current projects finished. And like you said you'll be coming back to Elite Zoo North.

I have a suggestion to balance out the time for working on constructs, and getting new animals and management. Maybe 1 new animal every week. 3 episodes per week: 1 episode for the new animal, 1 episode for finishing up the animals habitat and beautifying the animals area, and 1 episode for management and whatever else may need some finishing touches.

I really like the new building for the train station, I also like the red brick, it makes it stand out because you haven't used it yet in that area. Also DO NOT APOLOGIZE FOR TAKING A BREAK! You are a human being and human beings need a break every so often there's nothing wrong with that. Also, I think that when you put something like a train station down, you need to make it look nice that same session or the session after that, because if you don't than you will not only forget, but it will also stich out like a soure thumb. I really think that you shouldn't rush to put that many animals in just to make sure that the whole zoo looks nice. And also the beauty pass episodes are also really fun to watch.

I'm not the first to say this but hopefully it stresses this message to you... You are allowed to take breaks and take time for yourself! (Now more than ever). Your content is consistently up to the mark from research, game knowledge, entertainment value, and your never overbearing about asking for recognition for that, which just makes your KZbin presence an incredible breath of fresh air. As for beautification of Elite Zoo North, I would love to see a majority of these final episodes wrapping up loose ends; everything from fencing, lighting, decor, foliage, signage, employee management... (the list goes on a little bit xD) All in good meaning, I think we all got excited by new animals we could now afford and the incredible buildings you were creating I think we just kind of bypassed the mundane maintenance as we moved on. It also feels like if we could tie up all loose ends, that moving onto a new zoo will be a much easier, as we wouldn't be always thinking about old jobs in the old zoo that we still haven't done. Just my thoughts, but surprisingly I am really excited to begin a new zoo, for a while I thought leaving this zoo would be devastating, but I cant help but be super excited about what you're going to create with all of your refined skills and knowledge. (sorry for the long comment!)

For the Flamingos, you can still keep it as a 'walkthrough' habitat, but maybe up some natural barriers where there is no interaction between animal and human. You would need to consider where to put the gate for the keeper and all, but might be a good way to keep the immersion of the guest while also decreasing the stress level of the animals there.

I moved my flamingos into a larger habitat and i now can have a nice, long, full walkthru (they stressed a ton in the previous small habitat w/walkthru) Not one ounce of stress since i moved them! my small habitat in my other zoo can only have a walkthru that goes "halfway" in, they stress a ton with a full walkthru. i should just eliminate the stupid "walk-in" but i don't want to. Bottom line, depends on the size of the habitat. if it's too small, can't have a walkthru

Unfortunatey, KZbin is getting rid of polls in the icard in the video as of June 10th because apparently 0.2% of creators used it last year. And since you do polls, I would suggest maybe having a link to a community post where you can vote.

why not just do the overpass at that one area of flamingle park - it's only at the front that they get stressed. Do a bit of a bridge and then bring it down around at the gazebos.

Couple of things are needed if you ever do flamingos again to avoid these problems. No walkthrough involved and an EXTREMELY low amount of coverage. Probably just keep the majority of the habitat a medium sized lake that they can walk & swim in.
