Man i do miss the Org PS. PSF is close to it but Still missing some Main Parts of the Game -- Spitfires now work as well as the wall Turrets, We Need More Troops

@@eMoRaL It has a dev who was going to complete it in a year but he left half way through do to other life commitments. It could pop off when its done but not sure when that will be. I think the momentum going into 2017 would have worked

Planetside 2 was a mistake... just update the graphics and remove the BFRS in PS1... or just go back to letting EMPs screw the BFRS right up... either way PS1 was WAAAAAYYYY better than PS2 and I probably played 2 more... but I never had as much fun as in 1... screw this "helldivers" Starship troopers rip off... I want my planetside back!

I would love to hear from people the main game design lessons which Planetside 2 could learn from Planetside 1, the main ones I've heard so far is: LLU's Attacker Spawns MAX are tankier with less DPS Vehicles are less oppressive to infantry, especially a2g.

Generators that take down the whole base if destroyed. They were precious Hacking enemy vehilces Taking enemy infantry weapons equipment (NC & TR shared the same common pool ammo. VS did not. Gave it a special aspect) Lattice system / Locking of continents opening and closing them wheen you wanted because you had 1000's of people ready to defend your home continents or a continent which benefitted you and you ONLY The rush of running away from an ORBITAL STRIKE and getting away safely and not being blown sky high Stair fights with ammo types that bounce off walls up and down Taking a gen down and making the base go neutral then hacking it and getting a base in the middle of nowhere and taking the continent inside out

Lattice system probably needs work, probably would also include the resource system. I've heard a lot of people talk about missing the ability to paradrop troops from a galaxy to attach a rear objective in order to slow down/stop resources from reaching an enemy zerg push. Also the command chat could use work as there really isn't a big barrier of entry to use it, which can cause incidents of loud disagreements that lead to the chat being ni unusable. The building system is an interesting concept, however alot of continent maps don't seem to support it super well. The way continent low population map works causes alot of frustration when you spend time defending or attacking territory only for it to be undone when the map suddenly shrinks or expand to undue the work put in. A personal complaint is the current missions in the mission system tend to be class focused, which is frustrating when a mission states that you need to play infiltrator when you know a medic would be better for the current situation. Oshur needs a rework as the concepts of water combat haven't really been realized, and tend to be tedious, and the Corsair isn't really fit to provide any support that couldn't be covered by other vehicles that could arguably play the role better. On top of that, slot of the land fights on the continent tend to be a not fun slug fest, with very little strategy able to counter pushes (technical apart of issues with lattice system) Personal peeve, but I believe infantry aa launchers need a rework, possibly the ability to upgrade them to lock on more quickly or at a longer range. Multiple times I've had an enemy fighter fire missiles before my launcher has had the time, or the rang to be able to fire back, usually forcing me to pull an AA max or sky guard lightning A better resource system would be nice, it should take time and preparation in order to start a zerg push. A simple solution that might catch the interest of logistic players would be the need to take ants out to gather cortuim, bring it to some sort of refinery that could produce nanites or other resource needed for vehicles or infantry. Random idea, but it might be nice if an outfit could put resources into unlocking a certain weapon for it's members. It would be helpful to new players not used to Planetside, and provide another use for outfit resources besides wonder weapons. It would likely only have set attachments, and perhaps other limits in order to encourage players to purchase one for themselves if they like it. Blacklight flashlights should probably be a default attachment given to players, as it is the most reliable way to detect cloakers, especially as a new player. Personal opinion but continents really should have connections with one another. This provides better purpose for capturing them in order to attack enemy home islands, or gain a better resource or strategic advantage over other factions. This one is conflicting for me, but I wonder about the reintroduction of ai modules to better defend static bases. They would need to be produced using cortuim, and perhaps could have less hp, or less effectiveness then an actual player, but it would help with defending against a zerg push, and provide more purpose to tech plant or amp station turrets, as they kinda get rarely used and the enemy tends to be inside the walls anyway when players take an interest in defense Will update if remember other bits. Sure there might be talk over some of these issues

If you watched the video I said a few words about being a PS2 player. But I come from a passionate PS1 community. Many of them won't touch PS2. PS1 or nothing

PS2 was never close to as good as PS1 imo. It was a decent game but not on the same level as PS1. I vaguely remember looking forward to some PS2 dogfighting, getting into the aircraft, trying to take off and it almost instantly crashed and insta-killed me... then there was something like a 10m wait before I could get another... not a great experience :/. In PS1 you could 'powerslide' all over the place and it was epic and relatively easy and intuitive to pick up how to fly.

PlanetSide 1 has more interest than first anticipated. There are thousands of players who will support it among them being the interested players who never had the chance to try it. It is true that PS1 has more bugs than PS2, but PS1 still has things to offer that is found in no other mmofps such as vehicle hacking and the roles in general giving a very unique experience and flow to the game.

honestly, even command and conquer renegade is a better experience. they're probably just swooping in to buy it up out of paranoia for tribes releasing back into the fray.

C&C Renegade is alright but the scale and size sucks. Its a few games and onto the next. PS1 can be played for weeks/months for empire domination let alone GLOBAL DOMINATION.
