I'm 46 years old and have known I had this for 23 years. I've seen several doctors about it and they all just wanted to do surgery. For other health reasons that just hasn't been an option for me. Since I found your channel, I've learned more about how to deal with this pain than I have in all these years. Thank you so much!!

William Thank you for your book (just purchased) and videos. I've had PF for over a year, seen a bunch of clueless doctors, PTs, etc. and it seems you've forgotten more than they every knew. I have to admit I first saw your book a year ago and dismissed it because you looked so young but you know your stuff! Two questions on the taping - 1) what is the width of the tape? 2) how to decide which of the two taping methods to use? Just try both and see what feels better, or is it based on condition?

Thank you so much!! :) The width of most tapes for plantar fasciitis taping is 1 1/2 inches. I love leukotape, which is available here: www.amazon.com/Leukotape-Sports-Tape-15-Yd/dp/B00UG6OUEK And yes, try them both, over and over, and try to figure out which one is better for your feet. Sometimes I find that one works better for standing, and one works better for walking. It is different person to person. The two strips on the bottom of the foot helps me with standing pf pain, and the other one, that goes around the ankle helps me more for walking. But I have been told by some that the exact opposite happened for them! So it really depends. I hope this helps! Let me know if you have anymore questions :) Thanks Steve!

What kind of tape are you using? I couldn't read the box in your video.

Thank you for the video. Do you need to use the cover tape sold with the leukotape as well? Also, what are your thoughts on the teardrop method of taping I have seen in other videos?
@freeheelpainhelp9 жыл бұрын
Brenda Green I personally do not use it. I find it useless for the foot. Some people strongly disagree with me. You can try it out if you want, I am not a big fan.

How long should you keep tape on? Is it okay to leave on for a couple days and then retape or should I be giving my foot a break from the tape every so many hours or days? Thanks!
@freeheelpainhelp9 жыл бұрын
Colleen Sullivan All day is ok, just be sure to take it off at end of day while you sleep. I would not leave on for multiple days. I found that wearing one set of tape for the whole day was perfect, then I would take it off before bed. Some people may need to have less time, if it causes pain. You may need to try taping in different ways to see what feels good for your foot :)
