Love how Jenny is discussing the delicate root growth of the plants and Jerry is slamming plants into the holes 😂. They need to survive tough conditions!

I used to live on land in the country, in my later years as an empty nester I have moved to town. I love my new home, but how my soul misses the sweet smells, quiet and nature of the country. Your channel has been such a blessing to me, you take me back to my peace, God’s blessing on you and your sweet family- God bless, Merry Christmas

I can imagine that area in full size and it's GORGEOUS! You've inspired me to consider a similar design as a backdrop in my backyard. I would love to plant a drift of the hydrangeas similar to the mix of white to pink to ruby your hosts in Michigan have on their property. This soil difference should be a good educational practice to see how it affects growth. I, unfortunately, have very sandy soil and constantly need to amend it so my plants have necessary nutrients. Thank goodness we've passed the shortest day of sunlight and the days will get longer and longer. If you plant annuals behind the arbs, perhaps lantana would work with less attention to watering. Who am I to suggest something to the experts? 😆 Have you even taken a day off since the garden center closed?! The two of you work so hard. But then, you're a lot younger than I am. 😊 May you and your family have a most joyous Christmastime. 🌲 Thank you for gifting us all year with your wonderful videos. I have learned so much from you...and I thought I knew a significant amount.

2 questions, how much sun is that area getting? It looks rather shaded. Secondly, we have a horrible deer problem in the Durham area. Would that just be a salad bar for deer?

Jenny, if planting in closer months is great, can someone TRANSplant perennials using the same logic that roots will get acclimated better? I have a few dayllillies and other perennials that got mixed and the size and colors are in the wrong place….and I think it would be more pleasant than having to dig in the searing heat!!!
@GardeningwithCreekside10 ай бұрын
Absolutely!!!

Sorry, just not feeling this. The backdrop is natural yet your screen of plants is so linear and man-made looking especially when such few plant varieties were used.
@GardeningwithCreekside10 ай бұрын
I would advise to be a bit patient and make judgement once the plants have had time to mature and other areas of the garden are developed 😊. This is just a small piece of a much larger plan.
