I kept box turtles in my fenced in townhouse garden. They kept the slug population way down. My yard supported 2 turtles. Neighbors knew I had them and if they saw a turtle they would put it in my yard. There were 4 in the yard one year, but couldn’t support 4.

I hope White by the Gate and the Ghost Ferns love their new homes. By the way, I am trying something new this year with my hostas as recommended by James Lawton. Fertilizing with Milorganite when the hostas begin to emerge and then spraying them with MiracleGro tomato foliar spray when the leaves emerge. This combination is supposed to help to get the max out of the hostas. I will let you know if it makes a difference in their size and health this year. Happy planting and much success! Love your channel!

The Impatient Gardener agrees with your comment about using Melorganite on your hostas. I use it on my lawn but will definitely use it on my hosta this Spring.

Beautiful Camellia! I noticed some dandelions, which I have a LOT of. I have started to control them with boiling water. Once a week my “dandelion patrol” reminder comes up on my calendar, and I put my pasta pot full of hot water on the stove to boil. Then I douse each dandelion with the boiling water, and they melt and go away. This has been incredibly easy and effective. You guys probably know this trick, but....just in case. If you don’t, give it a try.
