This channel is amazing. They put out *so much* content (how???) and all of it is helpful and useful, but the thing that makes this channel a cut above is Laura’s relentless optimism. She is never snarky, never complaining and always manages to find something good about whatever situation she’s faced with. I absolutely love it.

Dear Laura 💚 as soon as I started watching your video, few minutes later I had to pose and run outside and water the plants, pull out some weeds and stalk some blackberry bushes. That’s how much excitement and positive energy you give me every morning. Oh and I am back now to finish watching the rest of the video and recharge myself and go outside again and get some more work done ✅ thank you for encouraging MANY people to turn their neglected garden into beautiful garden .

My husband was nearby as I was watching this morning and he heard you get excited about your Pumpkins popping up. He laughed and said, "you and she would be best friends if you were neighbors." Thanks for your videos that give me the courage to move shrubs when I don't like where I've put them, and not feel like an utter failure for it! I've only been watching you for about a year, and already my gardens are much better for it.

They are fabulous. We have a small garden here in Scotland (our whole garden is size of Laura's raised bed area lol) and I have one. It is around 8ft tall but I have pruned it into more of a tree so I still have space underneath. The flowers are starting to open and it looks beautiful 😀

I’m in same hardiness zone as GA, but on East coast. I can’t recall ever seeing one here. Love the look, but don’t want to risk it getting as enormous as it does in Laura’s area…no space for that! I’m thinking about the columnar version (Laced up Elderberry) though

Wow that property is filling up fast. I purchased a house a year ago and the entire backyard needed trees removed and to be landscaped. After watching you for years I took the task on and I must say when I take the before and after photos there is such a difference. I’m taking the approach that if you’re tough enough to survive you get to stay and if you are struggling you gotta go. Life is too short not to enjoy what you’ve planted so you gotta be tough to make it. Thank you for all The suggestions and encouragement to get out there and plant.

Hi Laura and Aaron from Australia. I've got some Echinacea seeds "puerperium" to grow here (we're in Winter here) - have you got some tips on when to sow, when to plant out? Love your channel and videos - I just add 6 months to your advice to do all my planting, garden maintenance and fertilising! Love that even though we are on the other side of the world that we can connect through this gardening community!
@MyPetZombie842 жыл бұрын
You can winter sow them or start indoors in little pots (not cell packs or trays, they need more room) 8 weeks before your last frost day 👍
@E.R.Hewitt2 жыл бұрын
Where in Au? Do you know if you are temperate, arid, semi-arid, subtropical or tropical? I’m tropical, which means we grow all our vege through our autumn, winter, spring so I can almost exactly follow Laura’s growing season for crops. Just cannot copy anything of theirs that is perennial or evergreen. We grew echinacea like an annual here with our vege crops last year. I don’t think it survived the torrential summer rains.
@shannonmoffett65302 жыл бұрын
In my experience (in the US) is that you can just toss the seeds on the ground now (in your winter) and they will grow!! They will be baby seedlings the first year, but they will be perfect soon!

Ditto : ) I live in Oregon - only a couple hundred miles from Laura & Aaron but am in a completely different 'temperate' climate. Nice comment Amanda, it does feel like a community of like minded gardening pals : D

Hello!!!! While working in my gardens I often use my mental notes from “Laura’s lessons” 🥰 that being said I really appreciate when the watering in/drip set up is left in the videos! It reminds me that if Laura has to do it so do I!! Yes boring and repetitive but it’s still very motivating for some of us! 😆 Thank you for all your hard work and positive attitude! Odd comment, but I’ve been watching for two years and I LOVE how fast and efficient you speak, you’ve never lost my attention!! 🤷🏼♀️😂 You’re daily videos are so motivating and inspiring!

It always amazes me how different soil conditions are in various parts of countries. In SW Ontario, 🇨🇦 we have a clay base that needs significant amending & is hard to dig. Then your Ontario, Oregan has powdery white looking soil that doesn't get as much moisture & is difficult to dig in. Either way, we find the right way to amend the soil & bring lush life to our surroundings. The power of gardening 🌱👍👏🥰

Laura, you have made me really rethink some of my earlier gardening decisions. Thanks for reminding us that if we don't love a plant, we can and should replace it. In the past, I've always lived with my planting choices, but now that I've let your words of wisdom finally sink in, some plants have got to go! I have known for quite a while that I despise the hedge of Little Devil ninebark, which I planted near my front sidewalk, The tag said they would stay on the small side, well, the tag was so wrong. Finally, after 8 or 9 years of trying to maintain some sort of size control while still keeping the natural growth habit, they have to go! I will offer them to anyone who wants to come and dig them, but if I don't get a response within a week or so... they'll get the ax (or root-slayer shovel). I'm excited to look for shrubs and perennials that will require less maintenance while still providing a bit of privacy for the area. Have a wonderful weekend! ~Margie
