I remember when I was a teenager my great uncle would plant a river bottom in field corn and when the corn would start busting though the ground my cousin myself and my brother would spread out around the field and shoot crows just like you would dove hunt we would leave them were ever they fell. To us it was fun and good practice for dove hunting now I know why my uncle supplied us the shells .

Hey Joey. I finally got around to commenting. As I have said before, I enjoy other folks comments and like to see what is happening in their world. Lots of rain for some. MI weather is seemingly goofy. Gives us something else to complain about. I love watching the A work. Puts a smile on my face. Like you have repeatedly said, treating the seeds next year may well do the trick. Thanks for sharing. Stan here.

We have had a little of 7" of rain in about a week here. Too wet to do anything. I snuck in the first past cultivating my corn and sunflowers this last weekend cause i jad to do it or i was going to loose them to grass. It was really too wet. I delt with the mud and almost got stuck twice and had to pick up on the cultivators. You have to do what you have to do sometimes. At least it had a few days to dry that grass out before the next rain.

I know what you mean. If you noticed that silver Queen had been gone through couple days before that video to get it to dry out faster. I couldn’t let down the back feet and it was spinning half way up the row.

Old timers used to soak some extra seed corn in strong salt water and throw it in the middles of the rows. But I've not seen anyone do that in decades.

Hey Joey, I had 12" high corn damage just like yours and thought it was birds too but after setting up a trail cam along the rows, I discovered it was squirrels doing the dirty deed. I bet you have a squirrel problem there too. Set up a cheap trail cam and find out for sure. Good luck.

I've seen some big crows before but I've never seen them mess with corn that big. I got my stuff plowed Monday before this last round of rain and it's doing good. So far, I've only had to replant one tomato plant and one hill of cucumbers. That Super A is a cultivating machine.

Hi Joey , I will say I have never seen corn 🌽 that tall pulled up. What have you ever done to the crows around your area to make them do your crops like that. Sounds like we just need to have an old fashioned corn shooting. Mist Monday night live but had a good excuse. Me,the wife and son plus 2 grandkids were planting the garden. Then on Tuesday we got around 3 inches of rain. I am not complaining, will take all we get and be thankful. Always plant before or after Mother’s Day . Joey just keep on doing what you do it’s who you are. Thanks for sharing. Have a great week. 😎😎 👍

Thanks for sharing the video Joey. Beautiful garden. Man those crows are hateful. I've heard of putting terpentine on the seed as a kid. That stuff you are talking about is probably going to be your best bet. If you knew someone who likes to crow hunt would help but probably no one is down your way. Hope you are able to save the rest. Sprinkle kerosene on the seed. Take the extra coated seed and sprinkle at the end of a few rows. Old farmers tale says crows will start at the end of the rows near cover and work towards the middle. 🤷‍♂️ seems to work

I don't know what the crow stuff cost that you put on the Jimmy Red. I would suggest an Icotec or Fox Pro game call. Set it on crow call and in 2 minutes you'll have more crows than you can shoot. Just set up in a blind or edge of trees before you turn it on. I shot one with my my Prophet 2 PCP air rifle last year. Didn't see crows for months. Call is $150 or less and works great. God Bless
