Blaine, how do I finish a lager space by myself? Can I do say a lower half of a tall wall the the other half another day? I have large garage and I’m using it to learn plastering before I plaster indoors. We use Diamond veneer ( lime gypsum ) over here in the states. Plastering is almost dead here. I have to save ir!! It’s a lovely improvement to a home. Thx m8 I’m a subscriber.

|n the olden days a wall that size could be done in less than an hour with dirty water 😆 especially if it was a Friday morning @ 😊11am😀😄

Mate, I have a box of half time and a box of extra time in my van, best invention for plastering for yrs, with half time after second coat I trowel once with nela flex stainless, then wait as long as possible then my Refina stainless usually finishes the job
@PlasteringForBeginners2 жыл бұрын
Sounds good to me mate!! Thanks for watching pal!
@sturmhalo2 жыл бұрын
I daren't use half time yet. Gave the extra time a go on some walls that I thought might prove difficult and it was good on two of them, third wall took up quick and my speed not being quite up to scratch yet nearly had me in trouble.

Brilliant stuff. Whack some dirty water in with it and should be set in 20 mins 😂 but it's not fun. Also blending is tricky using it goes kind of brittle on edges.

Something I have wondered was, how big of a problem is it if a plaster job is messed up? Let's say someone terribly messed up a wall (imperfections too big to skim over), how long does it take to get rid of it so you can start over properly?
@PlasteringForBeginners2 жыл бұрын
Exactly what Aaaadam said. It really isn’t the end of the world pal. Just PVA and start again 👍

If you’re like me, you’d be glad the mix takes a bit of time! Putting that in would be a suicide mission 😅
@daniel-ty1iy2 жыл бұрын
Just mix it up a little thicker than usual and apply a thick one coat, applying the second coat is only gonna wet it up more, a nice thick one coat will speed the setting time especially on a tiny wall like that so you can keep control
@benpatfield54712 жыл бұрын
The new fast set multi finish is good I used it the other day I used a fresh mix for second coat and was still done in 90 mins 👍🏻
