Our Aussie GOAT to the World since 1967. He is phenomenal live because his stage presence, stage craft, mic and mic stand craft and tricks, interaction with his audience, his love and respect for his band and crew, and his fantastic, genuine character. You will have so many Aussies coming on board going down this rabbit hole. He's the only Aussie to have No 1 hit and/or album in 5 consecutive decades. This is still our highest selling single of all time. Watch him live Classic. His are all classics 😍

Krizz, it’s awesome you’ve found your way to Farnsy, but heed the comments, always live with him. He comes from a time before autotune so he’s even better live than recorded. There is good reason he is called “The Voice”. You should actually listen to this song again, but Live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra so you can appreciate his stage presence as well. Just be sure to keep an eye on the mic stand!🤌 An absolute chefs kiss moment. Also, be sure to be familiar with The Beatles original of “Help” before hearing Farnsy’s rearrangement, it will boost your appreciation, as it is possibly the greatest cover of any song ever. Again, Live with the MSO.

There's a few concerts up (most notably I think from the Whispering Jack album/tour?) where they do the Beatles more pop/upbeat/fast version first, then transition straight into the more poignant/slower version that is Johns.

John Farnham is an Australian legend. You want to react to Farnsey live. The best are with the Melbourne Sympathy orchestra. John Farnham is a great Australian singer and you were correct to pick up on the fact that this is an anthem type song for us aussies. He has been singing since the 1960's, other songs to check out include 'Please Don't Ask Me' live version with orchestra with another great Australian songstress Olivia Newton John (who played Sandy in the movie Grease'), and the song 'When Something is Wrong with my Baby' with another great Australian singer Jimmy Barnes. nb: all three of the above singers were born in the UK but moved to Australia when young and started their musical career here in Australia. You can also add the Bee Gees to that list of being born overseas but then moving to Australia when young and starting their musical career here down under as well. Thank you for reacting to this song.

John Farnham will be one of the most iconic voices to have graced this earth, a powerhouse vocalist, a performer like no other, and probably one of the most humblest personas you would ever meet if you ever meet him, and though his music videos are great, his live performances are 10x better, where you will really here the full range and extensiveness of this man's voice as well as his interactions with the crowd. You really need to check his live performance with "The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra" maybe his cover of the Beatles classic "Help". love the reaction bro, and love the interaction between you and your son, me and my son have that same type of relationship, its about building a leader and you seem like a great example for your son.

Krizz - you need to investigate the whole genre of "Aussie Pub Rock". A heap of bands & material you would not have necessarily been exposed to in the USA as it is very much a home grown Aussie genre which catered to the musical taste of Australia from the 70's through to the 90's. Many bands such as 1927, Johnny Diesel & The Injectors, Paul Kelly, Ice House, Midnight Oil, Cold Chisel (and Jimmy Barnes & Ian Moss' solo careers). There's so many songs & bands to cover you could devote one video a day/week and you'd be going for possibly 2 years minimum to even come close to scratching the surface. Would definitely be one for your boys to be involved with. Subbed now. \m/

The song is a protest about war and the futility of the stupid things that divide us. It’s a cry for unity asking us to recognise our shared humanity since “we’re all someone’s daughter, we’re all someone’s so, instead of being driven by our differences; tribes, religion, political affiliation, gender etc. “We have the chance to turn the pages over”, use our voices, our vote - our power and create a better future. And we need to stop the dehumanising of others because that’s what leads to hatred and violence and ultimately viewing others “down the barrel of a gun”.

Most Americans have never heard of him because when he attempted breaking into the USA scene they tried to pigeon hole him, but because he can sing about 20 genres they didn't know what to make of him. He has been around in Australia since 1967 with his first number one hit. He has had hits in every decade since. He last performed in 2019 and still sounded fantastic at 70 years old. Then covid hit the world. In 2022 he was diagnosed with Oral Cancer, underwent a 12 hour surgery, is now cancer free, but unfortunately due to jaw flexibility may never sing professionally again. I'm glad you enjoyed John's singing.
