Jim Mills’ is one of my absolute favorites. I’m thankful for you because your teaching style is so calm and pointed. Without you, I’m not sure I would have bought my Deering Goodtime 2. It’s not here yet, but I’m waiting (impatiently). I’ve only watched day 1 of your 30 day lesson and won’t go any farther til it gets here. Looking forward to 10,000 hours and getting to learn the good stuff!

I'm having trouble building speed with the double thumb eighth notes. I find myself wanting to reach over with my index finger and alternate pick. What's your reason for playing it like that? Personal comfort or do you find it helps with the timing of the lick?

I've been having trouble with my pinky drifting in to the 1st string. While watching this video I noticed that you keep your middle and ring finger together with your pinky almost touching the bridge. I tried this method and it seem to help keep my pinky from drifting. Is that actually what you were doing ?
