Question...why the specific amount of piles for pick up tiles? They seem pretty random...when I used to play this( I was watching this vid to jog my brain) I know we made it harder by putting the tiles face down when you drew and when you put them back, you would also swish the table to keep the tiles moving to make it harderharder ...it was like a memory game as well.

The rules of this game is a combination of actual "game rules" and "friends and family" rules. Every player starts with 14 tiles is what the game rules say. Putting them face down in the discard piles is an interesting take.

I'm not sure of the history, but it's very popular in Europe, especially Romania. That's where I picked it up, but I hated it with all the rules that they had. The pointing rules made absolutely no sense, so I simplified so that it can be quickly learnt.

@@victorsabadus theres no point of simplifying the game, it just ruins it. Its like i take chess and i say that all the cards can move like the pawn to make it simpler. See that just juins the game of chess. Im from romania and theres a reason for each rule.
