My guess as to why Cam grabbed mana crypt is due to the chalice in play. He'd rather draw the sol ring because he can cast it than draw the mana crypt, so getting the crypt with saga makes sense

My guess is the Dauntless Dismantler. If Dylan cracks that for 0 it eats his own Chalice and Mox Diamond, if Dylan cracks it for one it eats a Sol Ring and Esper Sentinel and Cam doesn’t want to be caught in that

I spent the last 2 months brewing a tazri for our local cedh challenge. I went zirda companion for the extra layer of challenge. Cool seeing the deck preform but it just seems a lil more flushed and more wubrg centric than tazri centered.

Never would I have guessed that any of these MTG channels would've recognized the DBS card game, but seeing Dylan bring out that Broly card brought such a big smile to my face. I made Blood Pod and copied Dylan with Ruric Thar and Sheoldred, and I threw in Mishra, Claimed by Gix and Phyrexian Dragon Engine just as unoptimal fun cards because I love having 1 or 2 cards in my deck that throw people off and are just fun. I won a game with Mishra, Lost to Phyrexia Planeswalker! Tayam had the board staxed out, the Ad Naus player was beat up - and I just smashed face with fair damage.

I don't like the 10:03 "Can't be helped" which does sound a bit like he is passing priority, probing if there's a CS coming out from Cam, while he, in fact, has Mindbreak Trap. I reckon that's something a tournament player would do, but I would explicitly say nothing in this case.

5:58 - maybe this been asked before, but if the fish trigger resolved and you paid for it, there was no moment for others to cast instant spells in between your upkeep and your draw, correct? The force of vigor should've been cast in response to the fish trigger? Or was there another round of priority after the fish triggered resolved and you paid for it?

Not sure if you still need this answer, but incase anyone else sees this and wants to know: Every player must pass priority with an empty stack in order for phases to end. So during upkeep, player 1's fish trigger happens and is paid for, and they decide they don't want to do anything else, so they pass priority. Gets to player 2 (or 3 or 4 or WHOEVER), and then they have a chance to do a thing as well, BEFORE they leave the upkeep, such as for instance, maybe Force of Vigoring a Remora!

However many are saying that kess is washed up and not playable right now? Any input or comments? I feel she can hold her own well.

I notice that Dillan didn't announce how many charge counters chalice entered the battlefield with. Is it just assumed it's always zero in cedh?

I think it’s because he doesn’t pay any mana to cast it, hence 0 charge counter

He cast it with no mana untapped, so he couldn't pay any mana for it. Of course you have to announce the value of X, but if someone drops it without having any mana available and doesn't put any counters on it, you can assume it's zero.

Interesting point on you all freaking over Invasion: Invasion of Ikoria gets non-Human creatures. Abolisher is a human. Whatever Brandon wants to get it is probably unpleasant and freakout is probably justified, but it's not Abolisher

You're right, but it's still important to pay attention to whether or not a species is mentioned on the creature type since some cards only have a job even though they might look human
