Player vs Player Puzzle Duel! :Puzzles and Survival

I have to admit this is a highly anticipated event for me that Puzzles and Survival has added in a recent update and its one of the many Xmas events going on now! I absolutely felt the need to cover this as soon as possible and give you my very first attempt at this new event where players go head to head and battle it out on the puzzle board! Very cool and I'm really happy with this event so far. Definitely some important tips to consider in this video so make sure you check it out. This one can get really intense. I had 10K points left and opponent only had 2500. They got so many bombs and cascades in 1 turn that they took all 10 thousand points away from me lol. It was crazy, but fun. I mailed them and told them great job, but I was but hurt still a little over their luck lol

Lol ya one monster cascade can cause serious damage. That's also a good reason to never give up even if you have lower HP. Good luck next time!

Hi I have been watching your vids since I started about a week ago :) I think this event is awesome but it does need fine tuning on the matchmaking for sure. My first few games matched me with people that had double my HP!

Hi I’ve been watching your videos for a few weeks now and have found them very help! Thank you for taking the time to do these :-) I have two questions I haven’t been able to find guidance on. Is it better to send full troops and hero’s when sending out to gather? Also, I’m promoting my troops and currently have t6 to t9 should I upgrade them all to t9 or should I be leaving some t6 or t7? Any help would be appreciated! Thank you and happy new year

Promoting troops has to be to the max tier. You can't do tier by tier anymore. Heroes are not needed for gathering nor is full troops, unless you are concerned with getting attacked.

Hey I had a questio, sorry it's not related to this specific video. I wanted to know if your using heros of the same color during alliance trial or arena, campaign, etc.. does your rage get split evenly between heros of the same color making rage meters fill the same amount it would normally fill for one but for all of them or do you reicieve less rage then you normally would because you take the normal amount and have to split it between them ( heros of the same colors in the line up )

So you definitely want to stack heroes of the same color when there is a color advantage as in alliance trials. The rage meter fills at the same speed for each individual hero regardless of how many of the same type you have. Each hero has its own rage fill speed. Some are slow some are fast and some are average. But having 1 blue hero or 5 the tiles cleared fill rage at the same speed regardless. Hope that helps and good luck.

I'd like to see a video breaking down the 5* we can only get from events or specific currency shops of the game and, another suggestion, it'd be nice if you could divide your videos in chapters since some of them are longer.

Yes it is possible and happens sometimes. It does not grant points towards the event though and instead of wounded going to state infirmary can result in real casualties so should be avoided since there is no benefit to either player.

Might be the first reason I’ve seen to increase 3* heroes from L71 to L130 lol. 60 levels of might which is pretty cheap. Generally I don’t put any more antiserum than necessary into heroes beyond unlocking the troop skills I want for the 3* & 4*.

Hey Val! What do you know about the new Troop line up changes and their benefits in the last update? It looks like after you do the research you can set riders or shooters to be be the front line in your troops formation. This perplexes me as I just use a full march of the needed troop. Any info for us?

I have a doubt. What is the purpose of establishing your troops on an empty piece of land on the map? What is that function for?

Usually that is an accident when someone is trying to hit a lair or gather an rss spot and they click on empty land instead. The only real reason to camp on a piece of land is to prevent someone from putting their sanctuary in the same spot. So during wasteland or VC sometimes players will do that to prevent sanctuaries from parking in those specific locations.

ValenceRing answered your question very well. I would like to also note that it could be a strategic move to send troops to idle lands in some instances. For example, during resovir war or alliance clash, if a stronger enemy attacking your sanctuary from a long distance, you could empty your valuable troops that you be using, to idle lands so you save up healing speed ups.

I have a 130 mantis, 130 Ephriam, 130 Mars, 130 Reyn, and 118 Dr Grey. I have 5 Fox frags, 3 Marlowe Frags. And 5 Eve frags, I’m 10 lairs away from unlocking Eve. 6 Requim. I got 10 5 star hero frags. Should I use it to buy Fox, Marlowe, or another Mars? Or would you use Eve instead? Primarily for an arena line up. What would you do with this?

Probably you're best bet is to get Fox. You need a strong healer and when you get eve she can also replace Dr. Grey. So you could run two healers until you unlock Marlowe.

I did this event recently and I feel the matching system is a bit unfair. I got matched with players who got higher HP than I am, so I kept getting stuck in the Amateur rank. I hope the game would improve on this soon.

It varies in total because of the random drop but usually it's around 200 coins.

Something that addresses a rogue player that nobody can touch wondering into a state and just picking on a certain Alliance by making unnecessary demands and then tearing down their fort when the demands aren't met. To take the hub can be difficult. I don't necessarily recommend attacking sanctuaries outright. Usually the best course of action is to occupy turrets. Use full rallies where possible. The turrets fire on the hub and cause permanent casualties. So if you do occupy the hub you also want to make sure you can hold all the turrets. This can be very difficult and if there is any back and forth casualties can add up quick. But since full rallies are best it's hard to rally a sanctuary since they can just port with that much warning. Make sure you heal often cause if your infirmaries fill and alliance infirmary and deep healing center you will start to lose troops permanently on top of the kills from battle. I wish you luck it's no easy task.

There are some players that take it very seriously and others that are more casual players. Like many games it takes a bit of both. I always recommend finding a good alliance in a good state and working off that. Good luck!
