Super Secret Arena Lineup :Puzzles and Survival

After three weeks of secretly testing out a new hero lineup for Arena, I am finally releasing this lineup for everyone to check out and use! My heroes are levelled up to at least red star for this and it definitely helps the stronger your heroes are. However this lineup is very strong and can help you get into the top 500 in Arena Hero-Duel Survival. Especially when faced with the deadly combo of Lady M, Mantis and Phoenix.
The lineup consists of Fox, Phoenix, Mars, Mantis and Lady M. Using it correctly is also important. You need to make sure you are targeting the correct enemies at the correct time. Preventing their main healer from gaining rage, and making sure Phoenix only goes off when you can protect against her "Ignite" skill is super critical. Thanks for sharing this VR! Got my first 2 top500’s these past two weeks. Defense was only 12.9M might but was one of the ones u describe here lol. It really does work. Hopefully it still works after this :-)

Thanks Val. I was using same lineup with Eve instead of Lady. Getting Lady up now and she is pretty tough. Question for you or other followers: what is a good arena lineup for a strong Zephyr in middle? For a fighter based teammate. I appreciate the discussion on Zephyr above. BTW. You know, what's my main problem about being at top500? It's about fcking reset time... During reset time, especially last 1 hour, a lot of players are making their moves. And I lost my ranking even if I have a very good lineup... Because, I am sleeping during the reset time, like half of the world.... Because it's 03:00AM for me... Europe, Africa, Middle East, India, Russia, West side of China... are... all sleeping... But at that time, Japan, East China etc.. are awake, America continents are awake... This is just unfair... I am exhausted to see that "I couldn't make at top500", even if I was at top100-200 when I go to sleep...

For sure this is probably one of the more problematic aspects of arena. I am in America and even being on the last hour of the event and watching I get kicked out sometime. I've been ranked 180 with 5 minutes left and got knocked to 624 as if I was hit by 3 or 4 different people simultaneously. It's a topic I would bring up with CS. Maybe they can split the brackets based on time zones or add alternative methods of ranking. It's one of the more important events because it's the only method of obtaining troop chips but also the hardest to place in. I wish you luck.

and... it's not only about Arena. I opened 400 Gear Promoter II boxes and a lot of gear materials yesterday. I was at top200. Now this morning I learned that I couldn't make top1000. Because I WAS FCKING SLEEPING during reset time.

Ya I imagine. I never really considered that but I've been pushed out too when I thought I had it. Super competitive for those events as frags are hard to come by.

Hey @valencering the only thing I would suggest is “ALWAYS” use Mars 1st to increase attacks of the two opposite of him, other than that you got this ( ? how does apex hero frame works & ty?)

Not sure what an apex hero frame is. Unless you mean the slot for nanoweapons. Once a hero is levelled up enough you can equip nanoweapons to increase the heroes stats as well as your troop stats.

I haven't really covered that. Not much can be done about it. The important thing is the food trick which I did cover in a video. If you have over your warehouse cap on food then just make sure you always collect food first and it will replace whatever your troops have eaten. Good luck!

I have done well using a similar lineup with atropos instead of mantis or eve instead of lady m. the pro is you have purple but the drawback is you don’t remove rage from 3 enemies.

Ive also used Eve or Atropos and sometimes will swap one or the other in depending on what I'm facing. There isn't really a "perfect" lineup. Everything can be beaten with a lot of skill and a little luck lol. So adjusting lineups is important. Thanx for the feedback!

Thanks for your helpful videos. I have been using Zephyr, because even at +3, Im able to take down combos with 18 mil with my 12 mil combo. I just wait to active his ability before getting hit and he does the rest (125% damage back). Some heroes just die instantly for attacking zephyr.

Yeah i uaed to find Zeph annoying AF, but then youI've found that Obsidian kind of negates him as he steals buffs so if used correctly makes Zeph kind of useless

Obsidian is a good counter to zephyr so is Meyers and Mantis.

I used to really fear Zeph, but, now not so much. I just skirt around him when he activates and then hammer him afterwards. He is kind of weak until the point he's almost dead. For me, it's all about paying attention to what hero's attributes are active at what time.

I don't know why, but I am just not a huge fan of Lady M. But, I guess I'm going to have to work her up now. *Lauhing* I've been using a similiar lineup, but with Atropos (Red Star, +5) in the place of lady M. It seems to do well, but I do love the not able to gain rage attribute Lady M has. My big problem is that I always seem to get really crap tiles! LOL

Tiles improve as heroes get stronger. And lady m is super useful for certain situations but in a lot of cases Atropos works great. Good luck and thanx for the feedback.

I think Meyers was a mistake. If Ephraim (or Mantis) replaced Meyers, it'd be a tougher battle.

I like the lineup but it sucks green or purple tiles do no dmg. i dont have mars leveled up either so im using lady m, ephriam, fox, phoenix, mantis which is actually works. Quick question...is tomoyo good for arena? i see shes a fighter troop booster as well so does she only boost fighter troop type or can i use requiem even though shes a shooter for my fighter troops?

I haven't used tomoyo much in arena because she isn't strong enough yet. I have seen some people use her. I'm sure she has her uses of in the right lineup. Her troop type is fighter so her tactical skill only works when there are fighters in the march. Otherwise her troop boost helps any and all troops. Good luck!

One question - I’m sure weapon stats apply on offense because I’ve checked my own heroes. Do u know if they apply on defense? I have one apex & 3 epics on my defenders, and I kind of suspect the weapon stats do apply. Kinda like the hidden strength lol

Yes nanoweapons do help in attack formations and defense formations. That is one thing that can be a surprise. Like going up against a mantis with an apex and they seem impossible to kill lol. Thanx for adding that. It's something I probably should have mentioned.

@@ValenceRing haha thanks for confirming. I just checked w my mantis too by unequipping the weapon to confirm the might of my defense didn’t change (it didn’t after unequipping). So, they really are complete sleepers. They have no idea if they’re facing common or apex weapons on your defense

Holy crap I have thank you I am My Lady m isn't as high as yours she is only plus one and I don't have Fox too high so I'm using Eve and substituted Ephraim for Mars because my Mars is only 130. But I just beat somebody who almost had a 16 million might line up mine is 11.9 million

You can always click the different tabs to read their skills and abilities. Meyers is good for removing the buffs any enemies may have. He also boosts attack by 80% which is huge. The downside is he also increases the chance your heroes miss but you can remove or prevent that debuff. He is tricky to use sometimes but worth figuring out. Good luck!

Not sure how you mean. Mars is a rider type hero that boost troop stats. He's useful in match 3 as a rage stealer with high attack damage and he boosts your heroes attack.

Rage stealer. And boosts atk of neighboring heroes. He also has a strong attack.

Lol. The devs changed it. In the previous video 7 was the cap. The new cap is +8.
