Day 3 "Get Week" Gear Upgrade :Puzzles and Survival

There are many events during the week in between Global Ace Commander events where you can obtain Epic Hero Choice Cards II. These are the hero cards that you will use to obtain frags for Zephyr, Phoenix and Lady M. Phoenix and Lady M are time released heroes meaning you won't be able to obtain them as soon as the state opens up but only after a certain amount of time has passed in your state. Once they are released though you will be able to obtain them by completing all phases of these events and ranking at least in the top 1000 players. So while it isn't always easy, I'm going to go through and explain each day. What you need to save and use to do well in these events.
The non-GAC week is sometimes called "Get Week" in reference to the many events that you have to "Get" something to win.
Day 3 of "Get Week": Gear Upgrade
Don't let the event name fool you! There are no points for upgrading gear. However, you will get points in this event for getting promotion and enhancement material for gear specifically. In addition you will also get points for obtaining gear promotion material. I hope you saved everything! Getting to 1 million points is no easy feat but if you do so and rank in the top 1000 then you will be rewarded with those hard to get Epic Hero Choice Cards II. Good luck! @@ValenceRing can you tell me, if I recently started playing, I chose the most recent region that was open at the time, should I collect all the resources, speedups, etc. for future events from the beginning? If I understand correctly, some of the events will be available only after some time? For example, Event Valiant Conquest is not available in my region yet, maybe some others too, how do I know if I should spend resources now or just wait? Is there a schedule of events to check against?

While that may be a tactic, its not one id recommend. Focus on the events available to you and doing well in them. As more events open up youll see a pattern of what you need to do for what. But its best to build up as you go. Later in game its easier to pick and choose what you want to focus on.

Can confirm, it's a million points from the start, from a newer world, the first event it was a million. Also, there is a rather sharp tension with spending diamonds on gear promoter and the later day in get week that is all about spending diamonds. Unless you have enough diamonds for both, you might want to skip gear day and spend your diamonds on diamond spending day, as both rewards similar hero frags.

I appreciate the video guides you’ve posted. I have a question, not sure there’s an answer, but do you know the best time to purchase 5* builder and 5* research gear? I would like to avoid gathering, raiding or purchasing rss. Someone told me quarterly.

I'm not sure if they ever run a special specifically on 5* build and research gear. What I did was purchase the 4* build gear. Then when I got a doubler coupon from an event and they had the special for the upgrade material I purchased that pack with the doubler so it was half price to go from 4* to 5* build and research gear. When they line up I'm not sure.

Woo, paid for thesurvival boxes, opened a few saved boxes, and my cube ones and made a couple purchases in the mall, and I cleared 1M points pretty easy, currently at number 200 overall, hope i can stay in top 1000 until reset, then i will finally have Lady M lol.

It can seem that way. It really depends on what states you are grouped with and what the players in those states are focused on. I recommend saving stuff and watching the events. Look at the top 100 on the leaderboard. If the points for the 100th place person is more than triple the required points to complete the event i normally expect its going to be difficult. If its less than triple then i might have a shot at top 1k if i have enough to complete all phases and some extra. I guesstimate at least 50%-60% of the points of 100th place to rank. Sometimes thats not enough. But as a good guide it can help.

So I got a question. In every State, there's a "Whale". To give an example, when it's Ace's Commander 5/6 Supreme Commander, rewards starts at 600K - but this whale is at 35M points (top 50 starts at ~3M+). If you're trying to play an economical game - a mix of pay/free. What's a good strategy here? Save/Use enough to get into top 50 for Ace, and then a top 20 for Get Week - Rinse/Repeat? Cause it seems like chasing the Whale is gonna be expensive. Our State was only created 1 month ago - and this Whale is already at 124M Might. If I were to guess, he's spent $3K since the State has opened...

So obviously in any pay to win or pay to get an advantage type game, there will always be someone willing to spend a lot for that advantage. The best strategy I have come up with is to calculate what is commonly half of the 100th placed players points at the end of the event to ensure you can finish in the top 1k and use that as a guide on how much you should save. For example of the 100th place player commonly has 10mil points at the end of the event then you should plan on getting 5 mil points to place. While it isn't guaranteed it is a good guide. Hope that helps.

Outside of special events that have them as rewards the only real way to get them is by spending diamonds in the diamond exchange shop or real money in the mall.

If i have them on hand im more likely to spend them by accident lol i like to save everything. Day 6 of get week is the day to spend diamonds so if i have enough (100k is my minimum recommendation) and i want to spend them then ill open them up. I only ever try to keep 20k to 30k on hand and save everything else. I only open it if i need it.

Buying 1⋆ gear enhancement is a more efficient use of alliance coins than buying 2⋆ gear: [50k coin]/[2⋆ gear] x [2⋆ gear]/[3k pts] = 16.6 coins per pt [1k coin]/[1⋆ gear] x [1⋆ gear]/[100 pts] = 10 coins per pt
