I think when scoring is supposed to be your best skill or what you are considered a superstar for and you're not scoring, then you're not performing at the standard people are accustomed to. But Tatum has surprised me with showcasing the fact he is more than just a scorer. His defense underrated I feel and he can rebound good and is a decent playmaker. Part of the problem is people expect Tatum to be dropping 30 points easy every night

Well I think primarily it’s playmaking ability and not talking facilitation. Big shots, big moments, making game defining plays, defensive stops and etc. Tatum does the intangibles and scores. He just lacks the playmaking factor.

The notion that you aren’t in contention for MVP means you didn’t play at an MVP level doesn’t make sense. You’re saying Bron in 2016 didn’t play at an MVP level? That level is static year by year, era by era. If Luka averages 45/15/15 next year, that doesn’t mean that Jokic averaging 30/15/10 isn’t an MVP level.

I don’t know if he’s the best player, but the Celtics don’t play an offense that relies on 1 player. Their entire offense has been swinging the ball until you get a lane and then it has been a lot of jrue holiday and brown driving and kicking. So it doesn’t matter if JT has a bad game or if JB has a bad game. The issues come when the whole team as a collective has a bad shooting game.

JT is easier to build a team around, and players like luka, harden, lebron can do more with less talents but are not as easy to build a team around same with player like kobe and Jordan they are easy to build a round but cannot do more with less talent the luka does not have a off ball game same for James harden and lebrons is iffy, players like JT can play off ball allowing the team to play team ball, yeah his stats look nice but it don’t translate to winning as much this is why lebrons teams should be so dominant but all his finals have been hard for him, you can’t do the switch of luka and Tatum teams becuz the teams thrive on Tatums skill set just like the mavs are perfect for luka play style, you can’t build an OP team Around Luka But you can with Tatum
