At last! Someone who holds the yarn and fabric in the left hand, not the yarn high up over the forefinger!!! I've always done that, because trying to hold the yarn up with my forefinger, and the worked fabric with my other fingers always felt so awkward and less controlled. I think the way you hold your yarn makes for a neater finish. Also, the tip for replacing the turning chain is really useful, and it certainly does look nicer. Many thanks to you..... I've subscribed and am looking forward to more great videos. 😊😊❤❤

@jennierollins87898 ай бұрын
Whenever I use pins it always seems to damage my project. Even when they are supposed to be rust proof. When doing blankets it's hard to find enough room for them to dry. Really just don't block anymore.
@PlayHookywithMe8 ай бұрын
@@jennierollins8789 that’s a bummer on the pins that are still rusting on you . I’ve seen where people use peg boards with 1/4” inch dowels that they get from craft/ hardware stores . That could eliminate the rusting on small squares at least. For blankets I use rubber mats that I got in the kids aisle (has the alphabet on it 😆)- much cheaper than the ones intended for blocking. I don’t do it often, either , Jennie . Only if it’s really needed to get the shaping right. Acrylic is a bear to block so I usually use steam instead of “wet blocking” . Actually I use steaming with almost all of it lately . Or just spritz it will A little water. 💕

I wanted to make granny squares, but I didn't like the slip stitching to get to the next round, and I didn't like the obvious line the chain 3 gave throughout the squares. Enter stsc and the hdc in the last corner to solve the problems. Perfectly seamless granny squares!
