That's where I live so i guess that's a good thing 😉. I don't mind it in the warmer months and we have some great golf courses here, but I am not a fan of winter at all...so at least I have my sim to help get me through it!

For me it worked the first and every time with these steps and I'll add it's been very responsive. Not much delay between strike and GSPro showing the ball flying. 1) convert license. As you did. 2) connect PC to R50 Hotspot wifi - GSPro documentation says it could work with simply both PC and R50 connected to same network but I haven't tried that yet. 3) when I launch GSPro, a little second window pops up and I click to use the R50 for the LM 4) the R50 will switch to showing Stats screen, the indicator light at the bottom will work, and the screen will show the ball placement guides.

The recent GSPro update may have enhanced connectivity for the R50 but I didn't try before the update.

I'm really not sure what I did when I did finally get it working, but I'll be trying again soon. First I'm going to play those same holes with my Bushnell Launch Pro and see how the driving and putting compares.

@@justinsobojinski there definitely looks to be some bugs with the GSPro connector but I’m sure they’ll get ironed out. Every LM has gone through these growing pains with 3rd party at launch.

@Evan_Rodgers yea I see the issues are more with course play, not the range and I had only used the range when I made that initial comment.

I'm a newbie on LMs etc., going to get set up with my own sim pretty soon. Quick question: 1) When using GSPro you mentioned that the PC and R50 have to be on the hotspot WiFi (broadcast from the R50), how does that work with playing online rounds? When you've finished playing do you reconnect your PC to your internet connected network and then all the data uploads? Or is the R50 connected to your internet connected network, then the PC connects to the R50 so essentially communicates with the internet via the R50? If that makes sense?

Hey thanks for making these videos. You’re the first person to make detailed R50 videos like this, please keep pumping them out. Haha. Can you test the functionality with the Garmin golf iOS app? Does it connect and work like the R10 for data screens?

Glad you like them, I’ll try it out with the iOS app soon!

@Evan_Rodgers I just checked my iOS app and there is not an option to connect to my R50.

@@justinsobojinski bummer. I’d expect that’ll come in a future update, or at least the option to review your sessions on the app.

Hey man love your vids. Does your home course just happen to be on GSPRO or did you have someone build it for you? I’m close to going for the R50 for the chance to play my club on Home tee hero…. But would love the GsPro graphics!
@justinsobojinski9 күн бұрын
Glad you’re liking my videos! I’m guessing someone else paid to have courses local to me to be on GSPro, and I have to join a Patreon to get them. I agree the graphics are a lot better on GSPro, but I’m having a great time with Home Tee Hero.

I’ve had my R50 for about two weeks now. I got GS pro yesterday. I was able to hit my drive on the first hole but it wouldn’t let me hit my second shot, it kept Going back to the tee. I tried a different course and the same thing happened. The driving range worked fine. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Putting does read too fast. GSPro knows about it and is working on a fix with Garmin. This is all a work in progress. About the only thing you can count on working properly right now are the built in HTH and practice applications. All 3rd party is still being developed.

135 ball speed with driver and 115 5 iron sounds about right. I’m like 155 & 130ish. Look at you club head speed. Developer of The Stack says driver should be 1.18 times 7 iron. I’m guessing you swing a low 90s driver and a high 70s 7 iron.
@justinsobojinski21 күн бұрын
I am currently low to mid 90s driver so that checks out. Currently using TheStack trying to get faster because I feel like I have the strength to swing closer to 110, but because of past back issues I'm mentally holding myself back.
@CharlesFromage21 күн бұрын
@@justinsobojinski Good luck! I’ve had good results with Stack so 110 could be attainable-though based on my experience I’d say 6-8 mph is probably more reasonable. I also had a bad hip and getting surgery did more to improve swing speed than Stack. Get your back well first in my opinion since a herniated disc is no joke. My experience is also that Stack improved my irons speed relatively more than my driver but everyone is different. Even a 2-3 mph club head speed gain likely means you are hitting a full club less into most greens.
