GSPro on Garmin R10! I finally upgraded and I wish I did it sooner! Here are my initial impressions!

Thanks for the comment! That’s awesome! How do you deal with the elevation differences I notice my clubs are a bit shorter. I want to join the SGT but not sure I can commit to every event. Do you do them all or do you pick and choose?

@@punchedgreensgolf lol I struggle with elevation differences, I just take an educated guess. There are free events that you can play whenever you want, and a few money events / leagues. IMO it’s worth it just to track your stats in the feee events. Great community on discord too!

Hey congrats on your Golf Sim path! Yes GSPro is awesome and absolutely worth it. I can't see myself using anything else while having a Garmin R10. It is very straight forward check out Joe Lagowski's channel he has a great guide how to get the Bluetooth and the code set up. The initial set up is a little tricky but once you have that going it takes less than 2 minutes to get it all running each time.

Wondering if you ever found altitude settings you like to keep GSPro at to get your numbers more accurate. I'm on day two and have found everything to be a bit shorter than awesome golf and E6. I see theress settings in the adapter you can change for the garmin but doesn't seem as effective as changing them in GS

Yeah unfortunately I never really found a good setting and just kept it at course settings as I found it’s a bit shorter and it worked good enough for me.

Very realistic video! THANK YOU! (Personally, not fond of seeing all these youtubers hitting 180 yard 7-iron shots...... too good for me!). Currently waiting for my gaming laptop to arrive so I can download GSPro for use with my Garmin. Currently use iPad with E6Connect. Happy with the graphics but have seen the big difference in graphics details when running on a laptop. Keep up the good work!

Hey good question! Someone wrote code out there to connect the r10 via Bluetooth. Check out Joe Lagowskis channel for how to do it but it’s very easy.

Yeah gspro is so cool and I’m not even running it on the highest settings, my laptop would probably explode ! Not that I know of at the moment I think they are still working on it. I would check Joe Lagowski channel he has a lot of great videos so if he doesn’t have it yet I doubt it’s out there. I am sure it will happen very soon!

Hey mate - Rapsodo has said that the integration of GSPro with the MLM2Pro isn't yet on their radar. MLM2Pro has recently integrated with E6 software, but that is off to a rough start (effectively the spin rates aren't measuring correctly and every ball goes straight... lol).

Whats the lag like between hitting your shot and the software responding? You should have a few shots without cutting to your screen grab so we can see the reality. Nice vid

Hey! Yeah my Garmin kept connecting to my iPad initially so what I did was unpaired it from the iPad and it worked great! If that isn’t the issue I have also seen your firewall on the pc can cause issues so make sure to allow the app through it . I hope that helps

Have the same issue, have to shutdown the bluethoot exe and start it every 5minutes, and garmin sometimes starts to blink white white light

Hey PGG, new Subscriber! Keep up the great content. Can I ask a couple of questions? 1. Are you using either the RCT ball or a metallic/reflective dot to assist with spin measuring (vs calculation)? Sorry if I missed this. 2. What did you think about, for example, your first shot in this video? Is it possible it was only a 71 yard carry? It might just be the angle, but I would have thought it was 120 yards+. I know you mentioned you didn't think it was giving you accurate numbers. But just seems way off? Then your 4-hybrid you commented on. Is it possible the elevation is the main contributing factor, as you put it? It just seems so wildly off! -Graeme

Hey Graeme! Thank you for subscribing and for your comment, very nice of you! I tried the RCT Balls, I actually did a full test on them in another video, and did not feel as though it was worth it as I didn't notice I huge difference. They are still in my simulator balls but I don't use them exclusively. Yes so I did some digging on this, it definitely is attributable to the course elevation here as it is at sea level. I also think it is partly my fault, partly my set up. Let me explain. When I play on other courses or in the range, I am getting much more accurate numbers. This course here in particular is at sea level which is a factor. Secondly, I'm not a great golfer ha. I think using HTH was really masking some of my faults and giving me better numbers. When I truly stripe one in the center of the face with a good path and speed, I am getting almost the exact numbers I get outside. When using HTH I was going off total distance rather than carry which HTH Is MUCH more generous on. GSPro is much more punishing but realistic. I think I naturally swing slower inside. Finally, as I am in a concrete garage and using a Garmin, I will naturally not get the most accurate numbers. All of this is okay with me as I am getting practice in and generally close to what I hit outside. Is it a bit short, absolutely, but I also think it's partly my fault and partly the Garmin. I can live with this and hope to one day upgrade to a BLP. I hope this helps, again thank you!
