@@EndersFPS I'm sorta the same. I can enjoy these games but overall they frustrate me. This one was more on the positive side though. Played it a fair bit in the alpha-test and sometimes you get a game where everything just clicks. You find teammates that seem to vibe with you without speaking, cover eachothers angles, figure out who's the best to push, who's the more recon-style of the group, who should hang back and provide coverfire. When it clicks like that it's amazing. When it doesn't it's a slog. TTK is hella fast though or was in the alpha. Run into a dude with purple ammo and who hits headshots and you die in a nanosecond lol

I agree with the stamina thing but also the appeal with extraction shooters is that they do have those RPG elements which is why most people upgrade their stamina first things first.

I learned about how to properly build guns from your early video on it and started dominating a lot of gunfights early on. Hey, long time FPS player here. I always enjoyed fast paced competitive games, I probably got close to 10.000 combined hours in all the counter-strike variants. Also played a little bit of Apex Legends, PUBG, but I was never a fan of big battle games or extraction. I tried Tarkov for a couple of dozen hours, but I just couldn't.. But I tried Delta Force in the Alpha test, and I really enjoyed the extraction mode. I find it quite fast paced for the most part, especially if you go with a fast paced mindset and if you have teammates that are on the same page with you :D And yes, sometimes it's very slow and tactical, to the point of frustrating. But I think it balances well with the "risk & reward" aspect of the game. When you go in with 500k worth of gear, you suddenly become more conservative, hahah. There's some things I really don't like about the game: First is the netcode, it's really bad, I wish someone made some testing and get a video out for all of us to see how bad the netcode is. What I also don't like about the game is that Normal Mode is plagued with AI bots. I wish I could sometimes play Normal Mode for a more casual PvP experience, but I can't be bothered to play against bots. Sorry. So what I do is I play confidential mode all the time. I try to find teammates on discord, but most of the time I just solo queue. After about 50 games (in confidential) I have like 35% extraction rate, and 1 KD ratio in confidential. Yesterday I was close to 10million total assets, but I had several bad games and tanked it to like 6-7M

As a extraction player, I find DF take on extractions refreshing and really different from EFT/ABI. I don't find as many rats in this game as in EFT/ABI. Plus, it's much faster and you don't have to care as much, loot is actually good. So I don't get why people are comparing EFT to this mode, it's totally different game, the only thing similar is the looting/extraction mechanics, and that's all. The only thing I don't like is the mechanic of bullets magically teleporting to your pockets or vice-versa when you reload, that's weird coming from a tactical shooter gamebase and I feel like I'm playing COD, but that's not a turn off/not a big deal

You may prefer to play Hackclaw on this mode. In this mode Hackclaw only spots players, not AI, and you can see how many players and their operators, best pick if you want to make a cleanup gameplay. Also premade is a must.

escape from tarkov has aggressive players, especially in labs. sambud is one of them from the top of my head. you can def get the hang of this one, since you already have really good aim & awareness. bait the RATS with footsteps.

It's the loot that keeps people moving though. You don't find as many people willing to camp as you'd think. And it's not as effective as you'd expect. Generally people work on their general awareness and you learn where the traffic should be.

I never understood the “rat” moniker. It’s a different style of game. Extractions shooters are meant to be twitch shooters. Positioning is a HUGE aspect. I look at these games as more of a chess match and one wrong move will cost you. I am a versatile player, I push and become aggressive when it’s called for but I’m also ok with playing more methodically and slower. Idk I like the fact that I have to think my way out of certain situations instead of just having to have better aim. I appreciate your take though.

DF was also my first experience with extraction modes, what is different for me is that the players dont need to eat food and drink some water and take a shit or pee, stupid things like that, its definitely better to play with friends and as you advances and learn the game, you start to use things like stamina boost, faster healing items etc. Also the operators abilities are really good to counter those dogshit players hiding in the bush. Its fun until you die to a cheater, cheaters in extraction modes are the most disappointing thing ever in the fps genre

yes DF is between casual and hardcore, you still need to heal and bring ammo with you. but also i llike hardcore game like (GZW which i love it). my first extraction game was DMZ and DF is the closest one to it. i do not like to play multiplayer as mode only if needed (to unlock or levelup guns as in DMZ and Warzone). playing only for PvP is not my íntention, i like loot and do missions and also PvP. extraction mode has always some gear fears and PvP is a stress level which also i like

I played the Beta, even though the Chinese version has more content, and this one is a "months old build" the fundamentals are the same regardless, and I didn't vibe, not saying it is bad, it was just that I was expecting a "classic" battlefield experience, but it seems more like what 2042 should have been at launch. So much that ut felt weird that weapons were "class" locked. Also LMGs really do suck, no not even touch them.

This definitely isn't a Tarkov copy. Tarkov doesn't have a patent over extraction genre and DF plays very differently and does many things its own way. Just the level design, AI diversity, contracts and events on the map alone make it feel pretty unique. I understand when people point out ABI as a Tarkov clone, but DF definitely isn't that. In some ways it's already far ahead of Tarkov. It might not offer as many "hardcore" features, but it offers plenty of QoL and their design choices for the more arcadish style are spot on.

Hey actually those were fake players (AI bots). In normal mode, you always get them, about 70-80% of the time at least. It's only in confidential mode that you play against actual players.

Rats like that guy are why extraction and BR games are so boring to me. When Warzone was the thing I played with my console friends, I'd get 10+ kills every round, sometimes upwards of 20 kills easily. But we would always lose because people play the cheesiest way possible and it's just boring. Why would I play Warzone and get 20 kills, or play the tarkov mode and get 10 kills, when I can play regular MP and get 100+ kills and drop a nuke? The BR and Tarkov shit is just BORING.
