Capcom Fighting Collection is officially out today, so let's hop in and play online! But we're not playing any of the normal games, Vampire Savior, Street Fighter 2 super turbo, nothing like that. Only the WEIRD games like Pocket Fighter and the more obscure darkstalkers games. Let's hop into some matches and see what happens!

I played on PC for about 4 hours this morning and surprisingly I got more games out of Cyberbots and Gem Fighter than any Darkstalkers game

@@goldentrophy7858 Getting matched up with Rookies too but it’s still the first day so the ranks are still getting defined. It should be better in a week when more people are playing the game and the ranks are settled. One thing I’ve noticed is that when you queue for multiple games it can take longer to find a match but I need to test it a bit more.

I think the “queue matches with the games you pick” was a thing back in the street fighter 30th collection as well but it was a very limited line up, like you only got to pick from hyper fighting, super turbo, α3 and 3rd strike. Kinda defeats the purpose of online play in a collection like that

At 12:20, you said, "If only I could read what they're saying, though." At the time, Sasquatch was saying: いってえな！！オメエ、オイラのおっかあといい勝負だ。 Ittee na! Omee, Oira no okkaa to ii shoubu da. This has a very strong accent, but he seems to be saying, "Go ahead! (Or possibly 'Get outtta here!' / 'Go away!') You're a good match for my mom!" To confirm, I tried looking this up on translation sites, and DeepL is much better than Google Translate in this regard. While Google Translate is still mind-blowing much of the time, it's not good at dialects/accents. (Another good translation site is Papago from Naver, which got the "Go Ahead" part, but it didn't decipher "Omee" and "Oira no" to mean "You" and "My".) This is the first time I've seen "Itteena!!", but the following is my guess to what this is in standard Japanese. Sasquatch: Ittee na! Omee, Oira no okkaa to ii shoubu da. Standard: Itte inasai! Omae, Ore no okaa-san/haha to ii shoubu da. At 10:32, Morrigan says: ウフフッ、可笑しいわね。まさか本当で勝てると思ってたの？ Uhuhu', okashii wa ne. Masaka hontou de kateru to omotte (i)ta no? Heehee, it's funny. I can't believe you actually thought you could win! / You didn't actually think you could win, did you? Finally, at 14:00, Demitri says: １００年ぶりの闘いだというのに、この程度でおしまいかね？ Hyaku nen buri no tatakai da to iu no ni, kono teido de oshimai ka ne? This is my first fight in 100 years, and it ends like this?

So far it seems like there’s a bug on the switch version that doesn’t let you view the online rankings for hyper street fighter 2. Every time I try it keeps closing the game automatically. I’m sure they’ll fix it with a patch

Pocket Fighter is like the Parodius of Capcom fighting games... which is an incredible thing. It's all about cosplaying into other Capcom characters or sterotypes so everyone partakes in the madness... except for Ryu, who takes fighting very seriously!

Gem Fighter is one of my favorite puzzle games. And I’ve always loved Darkstalkers. It’s interesting that the later ones adopt a Killer Instinct style round system.

In Pocket Fighters, if you hold different ways (right, left, up, down) when you're transforming as you combo, you'll transform into different stuff than if you just mash.

Dan's not too bad. he's got his own raging demon style super as well. main drawback is he only generates red gems when he hits opponents, so his other moves don't level up as easy

as much as we all want Capcom's Golden Age to have a comeback in there Fighting Games trust me i do too, but sadly they just won't take much chances anymore and sadly there fighting game division just doesn't sell anymore like it used to and i don't think there around anymore tbh. One day they might do it again but who knows when if at all. i was glad to experience the last years of Capcom's great years in arcades.
