Hi, Ive just seen your other video on the Swam viola/Roli...it was good, but this video is excellent! Please keep making them as you find out more re using the Roli with various other VIs. It would be v helpful if we could see how you've set the Roil software up to interact with your various chosen vsts as this set up must be different with every new instrument? A view of your Roil software would suffice! !

I just came across this in 2019 an I am confused. In my Roli Seaboard use with Cubase I simply go to the Note expression tab, select aftertouch and route it to which ever CC you want which is typically CC11.

Yes that’s another way to do it :-)

lol, 1:30 the first 5 notes is from FF7 - On Our Way. "Well you can't....but you can!" lol best part of the video

Not quite - it is similar, but I think you're thinking of the theme from FFXIII, "The Promise" EDIT: JK, I see what you're saying after going through On Our way. Coincidentally, a phrase in On Our way is IDENTICAL to the opening in The Promise.

@@alexross9630 FF is tied in itself, but the ff13 version came way later, the point i was making was that it's exactly the same keys from FF7, and that came out in 1998. and the ff13 is not identical, it's a totally new way of playing it! lol, same melody though. Do you have Vienna?

Hi, I applied this method for my Cinematic Strings library with the Roli, but the problem I encounter is when I play a phrase, notes doesn't come out at smooth. It is because velocity dropping to minimum before getting to correct velocity when passing notes. Do you have any idea why this happens?
@DoryVideo6 жыл бұрын
Yes you are including TOO much dynamic range, set the ROLI to send between 50 and 127 CC/aftertouch and your notes will not fade to nothing when you lift your key. if you are playing legato make sure you press the next key before releasing the previous one and set the ROLI to monophonic. all will then work for you.

Too much for an over priced midi board

Not at all, this instrument offers capabilities that no other ‘keyboard’ Can offer, if you want to have this functionality this is what it costs. If you just want a piano keyboard, buy something cheaper.
