we had a nice, quiet Christmas day, too! Just hubby, son & I - along with the fur babies. I got some craft supplies, imagine that?! Craft knife, beads & charms for dangles, and even paper pads - looking forward to playing with it all! Love the random paper play - very relaxing! Like you said - great way to wind down after the holiday! I used a sanding block yesterday so it's still on my desk - used it to smooth the edges of the signatures I had just cut. I've been creating a new journal along with you, while you've been working on yours - I love that I have so many pockets & stuff to go in it already - thanks to your videos! Thanks for sharing Sunny with us - aww he's totes adorbs! Happy New Year!!!

Hey Pam, Sunny & fellow Outpostians, hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. Great video, as always, I love everything you create, you give me so much inspiration to just make something from bits & bobs that I have laying around ❤ I finally got a cropadile big bite 🥰 have wanted one for ever, I love love love it, so much easier & less painful to use than the other ones, I suffer with arthritis & making tags was not enjoyable, I had to squeeze with both hands, which didn’t always work. I also got some new stencils & stamps & my youngest Son bought me some little wooden Gnome tags & magnets to decorate, I did well this year 😊 Happy New Year to you all 🎉🎊🍾🥂

First, I want to say I love what you did with those old book pages and weill try some of these ideas especially how some of the words can be removed from the page with a sanding block. I like that look. Also, I feel your pain with having a messy desk and not being able to find what you want to use right away. Yesterday I decided that enough was enough and I was going to clean my desk off. As soon as I started my cat came an laid across a lot of it. That was the end of that. My excuse not to do it. I tried again this morning and got some of it done but soon the cat came to "help." She helped me not to do it. Someday, my desk will be in order...............but only for a moment.

A tip on crochet…. It helps greatly to sit with a seasoned crochet artist (yes, it is an art!), first learning what the stitches are, next, have your friend read the directions to you. Since they are walking you through, they can explain what is happening and what comes next. Then you can learn all of the abbreviations yourself. It is not something that comes quickly to most, be patient ❤️

I'm 71 sometime ago I joined a beginners class to learn to crochet. The tutor was patient but I just could not get the hang of it. I felt I was holding back the able beginners in the class and I gave up. My mother and two older sisters were knitters, able to produce lovely garments. I never learned to knit either. Think I'll stick ( excuse the pun) with paper crafting and journalling which I love.
