Yes, and he has since been in Twilight Princess and Wind Waker along with his corpse in the Breath of the Wild sequel reveal trailer. His beast mode, Ganon is in many more Zelda games. Usually Ganondorf morphs into Dark Beast Ganon in the final boss battles. I think the only time you don't fight Ganon directly after Ganondorf is in Wind Waker where you fight Puppet Phantom Ganon prior to your face off with Ganondorf.

He was hesitant to add Corrin to Sm4sh because he thought it was getting a bit too much, but Nintendo convinced him to do it anyway. I'm pretty sure the addition of Chrom and later Byleth to SSBU are mostly Nintendo's decision, too. Honestly, if he really were more into Fire Emblem, it's weird that he didn't give Marth, Lucina, Roy and Chrom more distinct movesets.

A week before Sephiroth was released, there was an event for people who bought the Fighters Pass. If you were able to beat Sephiroth on Easy, Normal, and Very Hard, you would unlock Sephiroth a week in advance. I got him early in seconds, was able to beat him all 3 times in seconds. I still got all the screen shots of the menu and of the time I beat him on Very Hard. Oh and to unlock Fighters faster, you could go 1v1 with a CPU on 1 Difficulty. And be Sonic and run back and forth as much as you can, even set the timer to 99 minutes. Then when the timer is almost up, just get one KO more then the CPU. Unlocking fighters and getting challenged by them goes by how much steps you take, so Sonic is the fastest, he will get more then enough steps to get challenges back to back. Beat the new challenger, and when it says you unlocked a new fighter, close the game when it shows the Stage Select. Start the game again, go 1v1 and set the match to have one life and fight any level 1 CPU, you'll get challenged again. And do the steps all over again by closing the game at the Stage Select, pick a 1v1 with a Level 1 CPU, beat the CPU, get challenged, beat challenger, close game at Stage Select, and start again.
