Well originally I was going to get the backwards comparable ps3, which I did, but I also got it cause ps5 is being released on ps3 and ps4. But then the Wii u wasn't doing too good on releases so I ended up getting a ps4 as well lol

Christian Ewing I need help! I like ps3 games but i want a portable game concole because i live in a hostel. Games like gta, black ops, the last of us, killzone, neeed for speed, uncharter (main series), God of war main series, resident evil, i just love them. Please advice me a console that includes all these games and is portable. ~Plus i dont have ps3 or ps4 and i only want one console. Thanks in advance.

The library of games on the Vita is surprisingly massive. With exclusives and new releases aside, there are so many great PS1, PSP, and some PS2 games available for the Vita that I never got around to play when I was younger.

I got a PS Vita years ago from a friend and I'm thinking about getting the Slim version by selling my old one. I like the Vita and I love the games they provided. I just wish the memory cards would be cheap though

CliqueOverAnything I have to disagree. Many titles have only released digitally within the past few years, so it's also a problem for anybody who wants to play newer games. In addition, having a physical library kinda hinders the main function of a portable console; especially in a post smartphone world where people are so accustomed to downloading everything.

It should be mentioned in this video that you pretty much can't buy a new Vita in North American stores now. They're sold out everywhere online and retail stores have dropped their Vita sections.

RyanSaotome Same in the UK, despite new games coming out that are in some cases from well known game companies.You can no longer pre order them from the main and in some cases only retailer that sells games here ( also called game) won't sell them. Which has the negative affect of making it look like there is less demand than there actually is. The reason given being because the Vita is too old to care about profit wise and that is why they will stop selling second hand ps3 and Nintendo Wii games soon too.

Everybody hating on the Vita, stop and realize that this was revolutionary for its time, and still holds up. For long time Play Station users, this thing is fantastic. It has many of the old games we love, like The Ratchet and Clank series, some slightly older titles like Borderlands 2, with all of its dlc minus one (too big). The Vita got Minecraft a few years ago, and it runs great despite some limitations. Sure, the 3DS is a smoother device now, but when you go back to when the DS and the Vita or the PSP for that matter came out, the Vita was just a stronger console. TL;DR the Vita is great for titles that other handhelds can't have. Things like shooters or assassins creed. The DS or 3DS is great for younger generations, or longtime Nintendo users. Quit all the hate, and respect your fellow gamer.

BrotherOswald the vita is still comparable to the new handle helds switch/switch lite, and in my person opinion the Nintendo 3ds xl is the best handle held nintendo created, simply because they have multiple pokemon games and the system can fit in your pocket comfortably like the vita slim, even the switch lite(smallest switch) cannot even fit in your pocket, maybe not even your jacket pocket as well depending on the jacket, the vita slim and 3ds XL can fit in your pants pocket and will feel like a slightly thick phone

Edgar Larios After 6 months of searching for a deal on the 64gb cards, I finally just bought one for $80 (which is pathetically considered a good deal), so I really hope you're wrong about that. I've heard that they have a tendency to corrupt, but I've also heard many claim that they never had any issues, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed, though with my luck I'll probably experience a corruption. Thus far, my Vita purchase has been one of the most frustrating experiences of my life and I've hardly even used the damn thing. Bought several dozen games for it over the years and finally purchased a slim back in June. Without a memory card, it was useless to me and my large digital library, so I never even bothered to remove it from its package and have been searching for a deal on the cards ever since. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago when I finally opened it after purchasing the 64gb card, and to my disappointment, I was greeted with a dead pixel right in the center of the display. So now it's at Sony for replacement, which I'm sure will end up being a refurbished unit that's in overall worse condition than my original. Plus, it arrived at the facility several days ago yet they still haven't sent me a confirmation of receipt. Anyway, I'm still waiting for the card to arrive from Japan. Although the limited tracking they provided me shows that it's been in NY for a week already and I'm in NJ, so I'm not sure what's taking so long. I'm just venting my frustrations at this point. Sorry... I just really hope that in the end, I'll be able to deliver a positive report on my Vita experience.

xDD90x Oh man! It seems like you picked the shortest stick! I'm sorry you're having such a bad experience. My 64 bit card cost about the same, and so long as I play the downloaded game frequently enough, it doesn't corrupt, but for the games that just sit there, those go bad. I ended up saving everything to the cloud frequently because I have ps+, so luckily I didn't lose my game saves, but most things not touched get corrupted. I was hopeful, like you, that I would get a good card, but I don't think they exist. So, just download what you are currently playing, and upload your saves to the cloud or computer if you don't have ps+. You should be OK. I personally have a blast on my vita pretty much daily. I got one brand new and it hasn't failed me yet (it's a 1000 model, with a sexy oled screen). I basically use it to play all my ps4 games in my bed or on the go. That remote play ability is really something special.

Edgar Larios Thanks for the info. So it seems that it's only the data that gets corrupted, but no permanent damage to the card itself, correct? Now I really wish I just got a 32gb. The whole reason why I wanted a 64gb was so I could have my whole Vita library available to pickup and play immediately, whenever I'm feeling in the mood for a particular game. If every time I decide to play a game that I haven't played in a while, I'm gonna have to delete and re-download, that's really defeating the purpose for me. I guess it is what it is sadly..

xDD90x maybe you still have time to return it and get a refund? And buy 2 32's with that money? The 32's are a lot cheaper online than in stores. EBay is great for this.

Edgar Larios Thanks for the suggestion, but there's really no shot I can return it unless it arrives damaged. I bought it from a Japanese seller off eBay. Anyway, I haven't seen a 32gb sell for less than $60 in the past year or so, and that's including used prices. And I've been closely following the prices of these cards so you can trust me. That's another major reason why I went for the 64gb; for just another $20, I got double the storage of a 32gb. My local GameStop has had a used 32gb for $70 for months now. It's no wonder why it's still available..

I highly recommend the PS Vita and the PS TV/PS Vita TV. The PS Vita and the PS TV/PS Vita TV come in handy if you want to download PSP games on to them. If you want to download and play your PSP games on the Vita and the PS TV/PS Vita TV, then there is no need to get a PSP 1000, PSP 2000, PSP 3000 or a PSP Go. Plus, there is no need for friend codes and you can play online for free on the PS Vita and the PS TV/PS Vita TV.

Great video, underrated console. Planning on getting one soon! SO many great games to play, heck the old psp and ps1 games alone are enough to last you many many fun hours of gameplay. I'm really glad you enjoyed Tearaway and P4 Golden, those two alone are worth buying this console for [in my opinion]. I wasn't expecting much from the Uncharted psVita version but wow that actually looked pretty fun! Also wow Freedom Wars looks great! Didn't know about that one before, thanks a lot for sharing it! Wipeout seems fun, never tried it before either but would be nice to try it out!

Yes, but it has increased to over 1,400 titles available globally, and that DOES NOT count PS one, and PSP Classics. That number is of titles that are solely PS Vita games.

on the subject of 1000 vs 2000 it is also very impressed to consider the battery life. the 2000 has about a 6-8 hours of game time depending on the game. The 1000 has 3-4 hours of battery life.

anthony mendoza it's also depends on the game your playing. My PCH-100X model lasts 5-7 hours on average. but if I'm playing graphics intensive games like Killzone then it'll last a little over 5 hours.

What, not even a single fighting game in your recommended list?! The Vita has sooo many good fighting games on it... To list a few that come to mind: Street Fighter X Tekken, Mortal Kombat (9), Dead or Alive 5, Injustice, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, BlazBlue. There are also MANY older fighting games when you include their backwards compatibility with PSP and PS1 games. I am especially fond of the PSP version of Street Fighter Alpha 3 (MAX) and sometimes also play the PSP version of Tekken 6.

It stayed in a shelve during 2 years docked in a charge dock until henkaku appeared, and now the vita is a superb portable emulador... the hackers recentely discovered how to use the GPU and it's complex unique API. This will make 3d emulation easier, like upgraded resolution on PSX and a viable nds and n64 emu on native hardware... fingers crossed... Bad english, sorry.

I use a 32gb card and it fills up quickly. What I do though is play the shit out of the games I have until I have the Platinum trophy for it. Then I delete them (more like copy it on my laptop) for the next game I end up getting.

I still have my original PSP and it's absolutely immaculate. I occasionally fire it up to play Metal Slug but ergonomically it's a bit harsh on the thumbs! still a great little device though. Also, great video!

I was a huge sony fan growing up... I was let down by psp go. I have spent hundreds on sony products and there have been good times however the story will end up the same you will sell your device. The only reason I would consider a Vita is that its portable and has a lot more games then the Switch... Loved the PSP and I had the slim and fat versions. If you going to get a Vita don't buy new games its been out long enough that you can probably find weeks worth of content to keep you busy...

ichiro kondo That's crazy. I just bought my Vita yesterday. It is a 2nd hand one. The only one I could find in my city! Almost no one sells it anymore in my country. My Vita didn't come with a memory card though... So when I found out I couldn't even play my new Persona 4 Golden. I ordered one of 16GB from Japan! I have to wait until the end of this month for it to arrive. I can't wait!

I played Virtue last reward on n3ds (not finished), after playing some games I decided to sell my n3ds. no regret, I'm surprise by the graphic, I play again Virtue last reward on Vita, it looks amazing on Vita, and looks like garbage on n3ds. I still can't believe vita gets less love than 3ds. n3ds is more expensive, but in terms of hardware they are shit. I mean, 200p display, low prossesing unit, etc etc Nintendo must make so much money from that ultra low quality shit

One of the best features that most people overlook on the Vita is the Cross-play feature for your PS3, PS4, & PSTV. The fact that you can play your games on your consoles and then play them on the go with your Vita is just friggin SWEET! And there's other cool hidden features for the Cross-play feature too. ;-)
