All my games had a mini boss called "the Raging Mom", the way to activate it is by ignoring the call to eat 3 times, good luck in continuing your game, sometimes it had an ultimate attack called "cutting down electricity".

I had a similar experience. I don’t think I lasted one second . I’ve beaten Sephiroth in KH 2 many times. I love that fight. But haven’t gone back to Sephiroth in KH 1

Then I realised there were a whole slew of secret bosses and, particularly, Sephiroth. Then I had to level up some and get the ultimate weapon to beat him. Turns out, I wasn't joking, after all...

I thought Ruby was harder too, until I learned that Ruby can actually be paralyzed by use of the Dazers. Once I knew that, it was a simple task of Quad Magic W-Summon KotR while he was paralyzed, miming until he broke free, then doing it all over again

Emerald Weapon is indeed a worthy mention, not for being hard, but because you can bump into him pretty early when totally not ready for him yet. The first time he also totally destroyed our party, without any hope of an upset win. Indeed leaves a memorable impression! However, our most memorable win vs him came when Tifa hit the lucky 7 trance, we could put the controller down and watch her pummel him for several minutes till he was dead. Good memories! :D:D

There are methods that greatly increase the chance of the 1 hit kill attack actually. It's based upon how much money you have and how much money you give. I used to get it nearly every single time. From what I recall, as long as you gave at least 100k and gave exactly half of your total money, he would have a drastically increased chance of using it. And being exactly half meant you needed an even amount of gil. It's weird but it used it 2/3 times for me using that method.

Well maybe you didn't have trouble with him, but he is voted the most difficult and I certainly had trouble. And the run-up can be kind of difficult, not as bad as Blue Smelter but it can definitely be pretty tedious. He also heals if you don't get rid of the 3 Nadalia idols by using the smelter wedges.

Destructive winds Again, not hard to find. This list is about secret bosses. Raime isn't a secret, he's the final boss of the Iron King DLC. Darklurker is the hardest main game DS2 boss AND he is a total secret. He is located in three different places, all of which you would have never have thought to look. Then, you have to kill everything, light the brazier, and exit the Chasm. Do that three times and you'll finally be able to fight Darklurker. Those chasms are so hard, you would probably give up without someone there to help you.

Devil May Cry 2 - the final Secret room with Dante on DMD mode... It is literally the final Boss from the other story line *twice* (as in 2 of them at once) in permanent devil trigger mode in a small room without escape. It took me only 2 attempts to kill them, however translated into playtime that meant *4hrs!*

Wow, didn't knew she was so problematic for people - she was quite easy for me, that is, not counting the megidolon spam (as I played P3 for the first time I had no way to use the internet so it took me quite some time) :) If you think she's hard to beat you should play Digital Devil Saga on New Game+ and fight the Demi-fiend - not only it's a boss that fights with 3 additional demons, he also resummons new ones if one get's beat and if you think you killed all of his few demons he'll just summon the same ones as he used previously over and over again (endlessly), plus his Titania can actually heal him... Elizabeth is a joke compared to him...

He really isn't. Only reason people find Gascoigne so hard is because you fight him really early in the game. At that point you're still learning how to play the game properly and Gascoigne forces you to adapt to how the game plays. But Gascoigne and Gehrman are both easy enough when you fight them properly but I would definitely say that Gehrman is harder. On subsequent playthroughs of bloodborne he gives me more trouble than Gascoigne. Moon presence is a joke though lol.

William Ramig Omega weapon was insane. Only way I could do it was card mod Laguna's card for 100 hero items. You could try to get lucky with Rinoa's limited moon, but I couldn't pull it off.

Well, I actually found Última Weapon to bit tad more difficult. Omega, although more powerful, does have a pattern of attacks. Trema from FFX-2... Well, he is an annoying one. Not only you have to fight the equivalent of an Ultima Weapon before him, but you fight him right after the former without time to heal.

tera in kh2fm wasnt that hard though, sephiroth in kh 1 was incredibly difficult because of the game limitations in combination with so many things jammed into one fight (small stage, 3 one hit kills, no real skills to come back from getting put to 1 hp, etc) whereas kh2 and kh2fm have a lot you can do to mitigate the challenge.

In Dark Chronicle (Dark Cloud 2) you can enter a secret chapter with the prequel's final Boss, the Djinn. That one was kinda difficult to kill... I had to put down the game for almost 5 years before I was able to beat it :D

The Gorecyclops from Dragon's Dogma:Dark Arisen could also be here. There is a secret one (at least sort of) that is more difficult then the normal ones. Granted once you get to higher levels with the right strategy he's a cakewalk.

the virage your talking about is the one you fight on your way to the dragon block staff and if you are guarding or are in dragoon form (both of which are supposed to halve damage) when the time limit ends and if your characters have at least more than half thier health they will survive the attack and he will die in the process. all killing him in the time limit does is gets you an item and i dont think you get exp if he kills himself. i learned this because i had my dart attacking king albert guarding and miranda in dragoon form using her party healing spell (I forget its name) to heal everyone to max. dart was koed, but king albert and miranda survived.

+Destiny Lipp No, the one I'm talking about you don't have to fight. I didn't even know it existed in my first playthrough. If you are sufficiently high level then you can survive without even guarding, but if you're not then even a guard at full hp you will die. You do still get the experience to my knowledge if he suicides.

On say your first playthrough and first try yes, shes utter hell and god that Ether Strike... if only it was that powerful in Valkyrie Profile. But once you get good at the game shes fairly easy. I actually find Lenneth to be much harder

The Profit Well the game does 2 in 1 roughly 4 times.

+MrYuntu there's a very big difference between the phase bosses and Nameless King. All of the other phase bosses, like Lord of Cinder and Abyss Watchers have extremely similar move sets with a few additions, such as Lord of Cinder gaining lightning spears and a few new sword combos (otherwise he's the base Lord of Cinder), and Abyss Watcher getting fire bonuses to his attacks. All of the other bosses have reasonably lower HP than a normal boss, especially Abyss Watchers and Lorian. Both stages of the Nameless King fight have good health pools, and they are completely different. They also both have a completely BS attack, at least for new players: The drake has the downward fire breath attack, and the Nameless King has that wind wall attack.

Strangely, the hardest fight I’ve ever had was not a hidden boss... In FF tactics, there is the hidden boss Serpentis in the hidden dungeon, yes... but The imposible fight was a random encounter against 14, yes... 14 dragons! I had several 999 damage combos and still lost!!

You had to kill a secret boss to get a secret gesture (the same secret boss lets you go to the secret area with another secret boss and a really weird alternate universe thing I dunno) and then you use the secret gesture on the secret spot next to the secret dragon man then you get taken to the secret Archdragon Peak after sitting there for about 5 seconds, It was quite secret.

Even with the netrent and Strategy Guides - It took me nearly 32 attempts to finally bring down Emerald Weapon... Excellent choice for number 1, I would add Ruby Weapon as well. Fun Fact: Emerald Weapon does a move called Aire Tam Storm, which when spelled backwards is Materia Storm (well, not storm, just the word materia). It does more damage the more materia your characters have junctioned. It'll do 9999 if your party is decked out with high level materia.

Emerald isn't really that hard, I feel Ozma's far harder with regards to PS1 FF super bosses. FF7 is an easily cheesed game, and you can just get three characters with multi hit limit breaks, get 'em relatively high level, and stick on one knights of the round. That's four several hit attacks that do massive damage. On another character put slashx2 on and that helps a lot as well. Only three materia counting underwater, and all of these are easy to get.

Ruby is fairly easy. Kill two of your three party members, get Mime, hook KotR with HP Absorb, and you're off to the races. Also helps to have Revive hooked to Final Attack and KotR leveled up. Granted, if you have KotR, the Golden Chocobo you get from beating Ruby is kinda worthless, but the AP/EXP is awesome.

Omega weapon was the most memorable one to me for me for two reasons, 1- it's a hellishly long fight that makes you question if this is all worth it multiple time 2- You can only kill him by becoming invincible since he can literally 1 hit KO your entire party when he feels like it.. and this requires a lot of card games to accomplish..

Currently on Portable, Hard difficulty and Monad. Reaper was a nutter with his Megidolaon after I made Abaddon with Makrakarn and Null Physicals. João Vítor Ribeiro it was an amazing game. I’m playing this with my kids right now. However, I feel the storyline wasn’t as interesting to some people. I’m a huge FF7 fan so that had set the bar for me as far as the storyline. I love FF12s huge open world and side quests. I finished the game once and played it again to try and complete it. However, the slow game play and ridiculous requirements to obtain the ultimate weapons left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I am currently playing FF12 TZA and the sped up game helps tremendously. The ultimate weapons are easier to find now. I spent 3 hours trying to kill an elite hunt in the original game. I killed the same hunt on the TZA in about 15 mins. Much improvement.

The strategy I use against emerald weapon is cait sith's game over trick. Once you master that, you won't even need knights of the round. And if you still want to get it, you can just take the earth harp you get from emerald weapon to this guy in kalm and he'll give you all 3 master materias. It beats having to breed a bunch of chocobos

Abel Orihara It is impossible, you have to lose. He goes godmode in a set amount of attacks you do, or use items. EVEN GUARDING DOESN'T HELP!!! He quite literally is the first troll in gaming as your attacks don't hit him. Even in the boss fight he only lets one person hit him at a time. OH and Dragoon? Meet Dragon Buster. I think a big thing with dancer is that on top of her moves being erratic, she has a few attacks that do MASSIVE damage. Make one mistake, particularly on ng+ or ++ and it could be the end of you.

One of my most memorable and hellishly more difficult than the end boss was Dullahan from the Golden Sun games. I know it isn't technically PlayStation but he can wipe out both your parties in a few turns if you make the wrong move and don't strategize your inventory correctly before going in! One of the best summon tablets you get in the game though, great gear and smithing materials as well! If you ever do a Nintendo hidden boss countdown, he should definitely be number 1

i believe abyssion has every one of your party's mystic artes and is immune to all divides. when he's below half, he's immune to unison attacks and switches between multiple fighting styles on the fly. he's definitely harder imo.

sephiroth isnt exactly hard, expecially when compared with many more trully unfair bosses in the series. the thing is, he is hard because you have to get ready to fight him, hecan down you extremely fast... untill you start planing before fighting him, then, the fight gets much easier, its still tricky to get the timing for his critical attack. but after that, there's not much against him.

I remember killing him in both KH, the only hard thing was the move called "one winged angel" if I'm not mistaking that downs your hp to 1 and leave you without mana, but if you'd time it we'll you could cast the healing spell and have it affect you a second after Seph did his move, so you would have all your fill health. In KH2 I found that the nameless in the beast castle, with all those spears was hard as hell! I haven't played the portable ones so I don't know anything about the other bosses.

Gabriel Celeste from Starocean 4, Easily the worst I've ever seen. Getting to the guy takes hours upon hours of grinding the hidden dungeon he's in. And when you finally get to him, he literally takes half an hour to beat and you get one shot every 2 seconds. Just trying to keep your party alive is a nightmare. I'd add the ethereal queen to this but I never even manage to beat Gabriel Celeste so can't really comment on this haha. Also, from Blazblue Chrono Trigger, If certain criteria were met, you could fight Unlimited Ragna at the end of arcade mode... He was just ridiculous...

The Ethereal Queen is WAAAAAAAY worse since her dungeon is randomized every f***ing time. I once had even a setup where I simply could not beat her dungeon because I couldn`t destroy all the (I think black???) stones. I couldn´t recharge the desintegration thing enough to break everything.

Ethereal Queen is definitely worse. Even if you manage to get to her (which is looking at a 3-hour trek through a randomised dungeon with no save points), you're looking at a ridiculous amount of HP, several attacks that will off your entire party if you're not careful (I highly recommend anti-void gear), and once you've scratched her surface enough her rush gauge stops going down and she uses an AoE 1-hit kill attack (even if you have high enough DEF to withstand it, it'll inflict Void to remove your weapon/armour factors). Better still, she will start spamming this attack. As a final kick to the knackers, there are three battle trophies related to her. Arumat's taunting her 10 times is simple enough (if you survive the battle), but Lymle has two of them: land the finishing blow on EQ in general, and do it withing 10 minutes! Those shall be my final 2 trophies.

Elixers maxed out to have plenty of curaga, keep hitting, focusing on rolling at times to let yourself heal, make sure you can have the fast glide too. You can't gauge health for the first while, Dodge and block and take a few runs without using items to practice. You can do it!

I had flashbacks to Legend of Dragoon's secret boss, Faust, who you wouldn't find if you weren't trying, couldn't hurt of you hadn't accumulated all of the Stardust mcguffin items for one side quest, all over the map, netting you the Vanishing Stone, and THEN he casts Double/Triple of the strongest spells in the game, often; I found him considerably harder than even Melbu Frama, and Frama had five? forms.

If you're gonna put in a Borderlands Secret Boss, you could literally go with any other raid boss ever. You could even put Crawmerax from the original as he was a much harder fight than Iwajira #triggered

Crawmerax and Iwajira were the only raid bosses I could beat solo. I thought I was a pretty good BL player, until I met Terramorphous and Vermivorous.

He's not a tough boss, and not nearly close to anything on this list Nameless is so heavenly telegraphed that you can easily dodge anything he throws at you (or just equip the Spirit Tree Crest Shield)

@@kryptonknight5463 yeah, I would definitely say DL is hard. Harder than Nameless for sure. I think he's way too hyped up as difficult personally. Beating him on ng+2 to get the last of his weapons was quite the thrill. Took 10+ tries though... Still, I'd say the top 5 for the Soulsborne games are 5. Fume knight 4. Sister Friede 3. Flamelurker (if you fight him straight up, no flame shield, no magic) that was REALLY HARD 2. Darklurker 1. orphan of Kos

I don't know why, but it did for me. I never tried again after that as I didn't think it was worth the time and effort. We are both talking about a 1v1 fight, right? I also think I preferred using mimic on Omnislash whenever I could, since my KotR wasn't maxed, and could only lead with it three times. Having to heal fairly regularly kept me from spamming either.

***** I don't remember for sure what level I was, but I know it wasn't 99. I think I was around 80. That probably was it. I doubt you have to heal as often since your defenses would be higher.

Wells Ribbon was necessary accesory to mitigate that status crap and debuffs Ruby would hit you with. Also, I had everyone equipped with mimic, and I had spent hours - maybe days - mastering KotR so I had two of them. Start the fight, and Ruby kicks one out then it did not matter. I could 2v1 with KotR and then copy it. Had Ruby down after 3 or 4 attacks.

D.L. Young I'm pretty sure I had Cloud wearing a ribbon, I just forgot to mention it. Any time I tried going in with 3 people, I always got two sucked out of the fight, and since I couldn't control who got left in, starting the fight with only Cloud standing was my only option. But like I said in the first post, at least with only one person in the fight, you can use Mimic in conjunction with Omnislash.

Yeah. I totally agreed with the inclusion of this fight. I think when I finally won I was max level, ultima keyblade, and it still took all day or all weekend to get the win. Death counter would probably have been the infinity symbol because it felt that way. But I am glad it was that hard. I’ve titan was already a major pain in the butt beforehand.
