I already had an extremely hard time beating Sephiroth in KH2 - tried like 50 times and in the end I was a shivering nervous wreck (and all I got for it was a stupid sword - by that time I already had better ones since I was shortly before the end and had already found Memoire and created Ultima). The one of KH1 I didn't even try - just walked in to see what that new battle is and then was like, "Nope, not worth the stress again"

Lubu, Dynasty Warriors 4. You're cocky and confident because you faced off against multiple generals and other opponents with ease or at least you feel you got the feel of their strategy in fighting. But then he appears and you hear your fellow fighters worry about his announcement. You're looking and saying "okay, I heard plenty of warriors be called out for their infamous skill". But then, when you face off against him, oh no, he strikes you once and you're near death. You hit him, a millimeter of his life is gone. He's tougher than even the toughest bosses you face in the final battle. Anyone who played Dynasty Warriors know of the character Lubu. He's probably the top tier character.

I'd always try and hit him in the back when he's not looking. Once he sees me, I Run away till my musou gauge would fill. Turn around and hit with my musou. Rinse and repeat. It's a long process lol.

enrique lanza The second the other cutscene started i figured there'd be a second phase, Nameless King takes a lot more adapting to because his phases are completely diffirent, first few tries you wont even reach the king himself.

enrique lanza Even if you do know, depending on your build atleast the first few tried you'll waste 2-5 flasks on the first phase, mine was a pyromancer and my weapon wasnt too effective given his fire resistance so i had to resort to dark fire orbs and hitting the dragon with those isnt very easy, as for the king himself my weapon was a UGS so hitting him with it would require taking damage because i didnt have much stamina to roll away with and Nameless King hits fast most of the time.

Heh but Sephiroth and Ruby are up there tooThe Sorrow from MGS3 is another one.... but those are puzzle battles I guess. As for insane creeping difficulty I'd put the Gaping Dragon from Dark Souls, but I guess it's POSSIBLE to beat him on the first go.

That's not really what this list is about; this list is for difficult bosses that are theoretically beatable on your first attempt, but you're going to have to be either really lucky or really good to do so. Round 1 against Seath belongs on the impossible bosses list instead.

Artorias X You know what's annoying .. the starting attire you can buy at the dream and the one that you find in the sewer are one of the best in the game .. all other armor is good in a specific thing while these armors are more well balanced but good at everything. Also the executioners armor is very good .. Cainhurst is really good for physical but the rest sucks, but it's practical for PVP or just regular melee stuff.

Artorias X I actually beat the first boss Father Gasciogne before facing Cleric Beast, found out the NPC next to the Central Yharnam torch gives you a flamethrower, used it on my first encounter with Cleric Beast the fight was so easy I didn't need to heal.

Wow. Seeing the Shao Khan part just reminded me of a strategy I used to use with Sektor and I could beat the entire game on hardest difficulty with only 50 cents at the arcade. The game forces AI enemies to shoot a projectile every time you would jump kick at a distance (no matter which difficulty). You just jump backwards with a kick, and when they shoot, you teleport uppercut them and then back high kick to knock them back to the other side so you can repeat. I would finish the entire game like this. Except Shao Khan would shoulder charge instead of shooting. I didn't beat him on my first try though. I did beat him without this method. He was really hard back then. Especially when you had a crowd of people standing around you. 😎

PanicGiraffe Actually you can stagger and beat both of them pretty easy. You can stagger Bloodstarved Beast with your gun like a normal enemy and Vicar Amelia with hurting her he hand she holds the coin with. These two are very fair bosses. No unfair one shot attacks, you can dodge 'em all. :)

I beat KHFM 1.5HD Sephiroth in one go. I was level 100, had Ultima Weapon, and got lucky when every time he went to teleport for Sin Harvest, he hit the wall right behind me. All 3 times.

Actually I beat Ornstein and Smough on my first try, (which wasn't until my second playthrough). Then a year or so later on my third playthrough, it took me about over an HOUR too beat them, very frustrating.

I actually beat the Cleric Beast and Father Gasciogne on my first attempt. But one boss I didn't beat on my first try(and I'm talking about days here before I beat him) was Orphan of Kos from the Bloodborne DLC. He was the hardest boss I ever fought.

@playstationaccess - Since I know you are a huge FF fan you may appreciate this. Best Ruby weapon strategy I have found was entirely by accident. In a panic during one fight I summoned Hades instead of Bahamut zero. Hades puts nearly everything status effect on Ruby , including stop , slow and sleep. You can then just pummel high with Knights of the Round and recast Hades as neccessary. But I certainly did not discover this on my first go. It was more like my 20th.

Kingdom hearts 1: Sephiroth, KH chain of memories: Vexen, riku, KH 358/2 days: That graveyard boss, KH2: Lingering Will, KH birth by sleep: Mysterious figure, no heart (PSP version), KH coded: That huge shadow boss that looks like it's taken from Tron, KH 3D dream drop distance: young Xehanort fight. Yeah.... Screw all those bosses.

DMC 1: - Phantom 1st fight - Griffon 3rd encounter - Nelo Angelo 1st and 3rd fights - Nightmare 3rd encounter ( on the second one he didn't even hit me lol ) - Mundus of course, i'm struggling with him for more than 6 months DMC 2: - Argosax the Chaos DMC 3: - Agni and Rudra - Beowulf - Vergil 2nd and 3rd fights - Arkham - Nevan Cerberus was actually pretty easy for me, same with Doppleganger ( he hit me for like 2 times max. ). The same goes with 1st fight with Vergil.

Atheon was cake once you figured out the cycle. Now the Krauser battles from RE4 were tough. That quick time event in the first one made me want to rip my hair out. Its the final battle that takes the cake though.

Amazed at the remastering of 1-Winged Angel.....while watching the remastered version of KH being played lmfao. Sephiroth is the only boss in Square-Enix's entire catalogue of bosses I have yet to beat. I got him down to maybe a couple of hits left and he nailed me out of nowhere. I shut it off, and walked away never to return to that battle. I like my TV and game systems too much to even bother going back. Oh the rage.........

I surprised myself by how many Bloodborne bosses I beat on the first try, but Ornstein and Smough(I pronounce it like SMO because that similar to how it’s said in Japanese) is still one of my top 3 hardest bosses of the Soulsborne series!

The only one of these I managed on the first go was Phantom, but that probably had more to do with me lucking out on timing and realizing that Dante can bat Phantom's fireballs back at his face like the deadliest form of baseball. Not listed on here, but things I'm proud to have beaten as an underleveled (5 or below) n00b: the T-Rexaur in FF8 the first time Squall's allowed in the Garden's Training Center (so early, I only had Quistis for help), and the Basilisk in FF7 literally the first time I stepped onto the overworld map.

Sorcery build, cleansing greatshield, boom relatively easy fight, stay at range and dont use soulmass or pursuers, high 1 hit damage the better, spears are really usefull
