This game was fully mindblowing in my childhood: red hot discs on braking, reflections of rear lights in the rain, set of the coolest cars. And mainly reason is badass commentator speech in race start: CIRTEK GT2, TEAM MARCOS GT2, VIPER TEAM ORECA GT2, HELL YEAH!

The commentator is Tiff Needell who was a British racing driver and also host of the original Top Gear and fifth gear. He's still kicking around and is a real legend is racing circles.

It’s so incredibly cool that this games is on PS1, Dreamcast, and PS2. You can really see what each console is capable of.

One of the best racing games imo. Tiff Needell on the commentary who raced in Le Mans several times.

I believe this game was renamed "Test Drive: Le Mans" here in North America.

And this "Test Drive Le Mans" has only 12 cars in Championship & LM24H mode, as opposed to the former has 16 cars.

I bought this game completely new in 2005. (I am very lucky). It was only €3,50 on a market in my street and the guy never played it. I am now playing it again in 2024 and im loving it so much

How do you unlock these for Quick Race? -Buggatti track -the last 2 top tier cars for each class: Larbre, Oreca, BMW, Joest, Toyota, Nissan. I remember I cleared most contents, including Reverse Cup for Arcade mode but these I mentioned are still locked.

love this game..still looks amazing & plays.great. played some ps4 racing games with worse handling than this little gem. Project cars 1 & 3 are great but the second one had the most peculiar handling issues..no matter how you adjusted the setups. but LeMans PS1 just pick it back up & it's like the good old days again. PS2 one is great too (borh were also released as Test Drive games I seem to recall)

How do i get 16 cars instead of 12 ? When i choose to do le mans 24h race i only get 12 cars on grid. Thanks.

I played the Dreamcast version a lot, I didn't even know this ps1 version existed... this version is very ugly. But it's interesting to see.

I played this once but I realized I suck at racing games.
