I think because of this interaction, this might end up being the strongest esper commander. So many creature/commander centric decks exist (thoracle). Having a way to at instant speed shut down all of that is bananas.

Hakim Loreweaver + Treachery + Claws of Gix is the sauce for an infinite mana combo. You just need Borne upon a wind/Emergence Zone to cast your commander to win

Loved the Valgavoth side note, found the card pretty cool going into spoilers and your review was painful lmao! Sure it's only 3 cards a turn but it procs on half the cedh staples from crypt to force of will, and in rakdos you take any draw you can.

As someone who is wanting to get into cEDH and is debating on playing Rakdos, my personal opinion would be that Valgavoth “feels” better than Ob Nixis, for the reason mentioned in the video. I personally enjoy having hidden information and keeping my cards till I’m ready to use them. I also fully respect anyone who enjoys playing Ob Nixis.

How does kikijiki and FOMO combo? 2:13 FOMO says first time it attacks so it would only get 1 extra combat?

It might be that when the 1st FOMO attacks, you untap kikijiki, then get a new combat, activate kikijiki, create a new FOMO with haste, then repeat.(if the 1st FOMO is gonna die to blocks you just activate kikijiki and create the copy before damage) Unless somebody has an indestructible blocker, you can probably just go through a ton of combats sending a string of FOMOS

I have a question. At 15:15, Will triggers both Valvagoths and Tyler says that Cam's trigger goes on the stack first. Tyle said cam's resolve 1st,and It is turn order.when balloon took damage,Tyler put the trigger on stack 1st then Cam put his on stack.then the stack will try to resolve,so Cams trigger will resolve before Tyler

I know this is probably wishful thinking, but I FEEL like Arabella might have something going on. On a lucky draw in casual I had a turn 3 win because of Ocelot Pride, and making a billion tokens seems like it might be trivial? I guess the issue is if you can make a billion tokens, you already won, and other commanders can facilitate that billion tokens better. Still, killing a table of Blue Farms and Nadus with a doll is so enticing.

I think it has to do with whether you expect your opponents to play a card that can get advantage from it. That doesn't apply here (as his opponents don't have rhystic/mystic), but it may just be habit for tyler. The only major con to doing that is it feeds dockside, but that can be fine. Giving your opponents cards might not be.

Plays around other players drawing into cards like Rhystic Study, Mystic Remora, Esper Sentinel, and other Stax cards. Plays into Dockside Extortionist but that is only one card versus many.
