I finally got my game the way I wanted with making my sims look decent and CC Magic plus Nraas Mods. I have at least 10 gb of cc due to my store content but my game runs great and it hasn't crashed. I have compressed all my cc and ran them through CC Magic

That's a very good thing to do! I don't have much CC yet besides default replacements and a few store items, but I have no issues with lag or crashing. I also use Nraas mods, of course!

@@PleasantSims If you do make a Sims 3 series there is a way to create a realistic aging of your own replacing the maxis one by creating one on your library. Also there is way to make 12 days equals a whole year in the Sims make every season have 3 days that way sims birthday will be per season, per year. It's a pretty cool

So many reasons. Lol. Lack of creative control (i.e. inability to create my own worlds), unfulfilling game play, all the Sims feel the same, and I could go on forever. It's just not the game for me. I prefer 2 and 3. :)

Just a random question (I'm in the middle of redownloading TS3 after hearing there is a mod to fix the lag): How necessary are the store items now (I play with CC)? When I was originally playing, there were some dependencies on the store content, but after 6+ years, maybe there isn't a need for them anymore (other than the worlds/locations). Any thoughts?

My tip for creating unique sims: Screw beauty standards, give your sims long faces, big noses, big foreheads, the less beauty standard like the better

The problem with TS3 is that sims are ugly no matter what you do. They might look decent in CAS but then in game they look terrible when they smile or get angry. TS3 is amazing in so many aspects and it is superior to TS4, but sims in TS4 are so much better.

Lighting mods can make the Sims look better in-game. The harsh default lighting does them no favors. TS4 Sims are prettier, I agree. But I'd still rather play Sims 3. 😆
