rest is important to our lives, yes, even to us GAMERS! Let's talk about what the Sabbath means for us Christian gamers, and the importance of taking breaks #christiangaming

Good point man. I haven’t had a sabbath in a long time lol

You should go find a way to have one! Even if it isn't a full day thing. Not always the easiest thing, but still important.

I really appreciate your thoughts on the Sabbath and finding rest! As for my “restful” game Pikmin 4 immediately comes to mind.

@@mwc1985 I personally never got to play too much of the pikmin games but knowing me, I know I’d be stressed out by the timer.

@@CHRISTIAN_GAMER I thought the timer would stress me out too, but Pikmin 4 doesn’t have a day limit. And once I played 4 I played the others and found the time limits weren’t as bad as I assumed.

Xcom 2 will always be a big comfortable blanket that I can put on and just chill although I'm currently hiding inside a fallout 4 minuteman campaign. I get to just focus on making my settlements happy. While on Vacation I recommend taking a break from video games and subbing out for more family oriented interactions. But that comes from being too old and never having a gameboy so it's what I'm used to.

That's understandable. I definitely spent (writing this after my vacation) a lot of my time with my wife as we did stuff like going to the Zoo and etc., BUT I also got to have a lot time playing roguelikes, since I didn't have to worry about picking up a game and not having time to finish it after my vacation -- This is why I didn't actually end up playing any jrpgs, even though I kinda wanted to. My brother at the moment is having fun in Fallout also! He's jumping back and forth from Elder Scrolls' Oblivion and Fallout 3. Him playing that actually persuaded me to actually jump back into Fallout 1, where I jankly died in a cave of Radscorpians.

Botw might be relaxing to you.

funny enough - didn't end up playing it a lot. Normally I would've agreed, but I think streaming the game kinda made it a bit harder to just want to play it offscreen -- I personally didn't want to accidently do something important while not streaming.
