Do some research off the mainstream “brainwashing “ channels and watch how much depth you get. We are strong together but the divide and conquer is in full effect right now. I used this video as an example for my child as we discussed the words “agency”, “consent”, “liberty”, “indoctrination” and “ideology”. It was very efficacious to that end. She’s the same age as these children and she’s aware that her reading level is 2-3 grades above her own. From there, she could deduce from the fact that if she didn’t understand half of the words in this pledge then neither had these children. I explained to her that these children would never be taught what these words mean on anything beyond the dominant culture’s semiotic level; and even that wouldn’t happen until long after they’d have memorized them to the degree that to critique them would incite feelings of discomfort and anger as a result of cognitive dissonance. Obviously I didn’t go super hard with the vocabulary but you get the drift. I appreciate that this video exists so that I can easily show my child precisely why I won’t subject her to American “education”, and will instead teach her how to critique and learn.

Tbh theres nothing wrong with giving them the option to do it if they want once they are like 14 but forcing children to show political affiliation to a country is cultist behaviour.
