Jessica, thank you for taking us along on another creative adventure. Your detailed narrative of what you are doing is extremely valuable and your pleasant, casual delivery makes it so much fun to "paint" along with you! And, yes, you have motivated me, and I am certain many others, to go beyond plein air sketching to painting!

Beautifully done. You are so inspirational and I feel like I go on vacation with you with each painting. So glad you are sharing this with the world. I can feel myself beginning to get motivated to do plein air again. I have not done plein air now for four years, so watching you is helping. Thank you.

Beautiful! I am interested in what you'd mentioned about painting the water reflection. Was it paint downstrokes for the reflection on water then come back with horizontal strokes to put in the water's highlights? Also, random fact, I was driving by on I90 while you were painting this! Small world. :)
@JessicaHenry
@JessicaHenry 7 жыл бұрын
Yep, I used vertical strokes for reflections like trees, where the water really had the illusion of looking "striped ". The mountains I used horizontal strokes. Afterwards- I did a stroke horizontally over the darker vertical water.
