1 idea is you could have a special Halloween movie with a few kids talking about the legend of Michel Myers. & each kid tells the story about how he came to be based on the different timelines. Plus, compilations of past movies. This would basically retcon the movies as legends told by kids but also celebrate the franchise as a whole.

I'm a big fan as well, and I'm 40 and usually don't like a lot of modern horror. But this one has SUCH Carpenter / 80s vibes. Fantastic direction, excellent score. And they don't rely solely on jump scares. Whenever you see the 'It', it's always super terrifying how it just silently and slowly stalks, and it could come from anywhere and it never stops! THAT is how you do horror. I love blood and guts too, but I much prefer something terrifying and more psychological. It Follows was so great, and I wish they'd do a sequel. But I'm fine with it being a standalone film.

Mitchell and Flanagan would be great choices. Almost as important as the choice of director is that they should actually write a trilogy before they make a movie. A big improvement they could make on the most recent trilogy is by having the continuity across 3 films.

I agree with most of what you said, except (and I know this might be considered blasphemy) John Carpenter doing the score. Look, I love that he’s found almost this second career of doing just music, and that he loves to write and perform with his son and godson, but I was underwhelmed by his scores for the Green trilogy. And listening to the newly released Anthology II just reinforces that. I think Carpenter was never better than his work with Alan Howarth. Obviously, some of his greatest work was doing the music by himself, especially with the original Halloween, but I would rather someone else do the music. Carpenter is my all time favorite director, but I think he's never completely gotten over the backlash to The Thing. He was OBLITERATED in the press at the time, and even though the film is now considered a masterpiece (I think it's his greatest achievement), I think his interest in anything, except playing video games and watching basketball games, has gone out the window. When he was asked recently what his thoughts were on Halloween Ends, he replied "No comment." He was an executive producer on the film, and clearly didn't really care enough to provide any input except make the music and cash the check. I loved their score for It Follows, so I think they could do something really great for Halloween. I just don’t want someone like John Ottman doing what he tried to do on H:20, with the orchestra and choir.

The one thing halloween never did, besides " ends " was actually end. Build on it. Please do not show us unmasked child Micheal, no little unmasked Jason. Leave it be. Please what ever they do, don't go backwards. Only so much we can get out of the early 80s. Modern time, now past. No origin. , we don't need that.

I have many ideas as to how Halloween could be made & handled. Including an Ultimate Timeline that combines most of the movies into 1 cohesive tale. I'd make sure future Halloween movies be released once a year in October, with different genres of Horror as Carpenter Intended. Along with adding ideas & characters & lore that may follow.

I really like your idea of using David Robert Mitchell and Mike Flanagan for the new movies and TV series, respectively. I thought It Follows was fantastic and had a really creepy atmosphere and impending sense of doom. I would love it if a new Halloween movie had that same style. Would you prefer that Myers in these new movies/series be the same as the original version of Myers? I like the idea of keeping the first movie canon because when I think of the Shape I think of Nick Castle in the original film. And since Myers escaped at the end of the original you could do pretty much anything you’d like with him in future movies and shows.

I think this is base the TV series off of the young adult novel back in the 90s it was like an anthology series with Michael Myers it was okay but I think the TV series could really make them better

I think the only way is to have a reboot of the first movie with Myers in the present time and different characters. Not a copy like zombie Halloween second half. Zombies was one of the better movies I thought. They can’t do another sequel ignoring others like they already have twice!.

Originally that was the intention for carpenter to get known and then have a movie directing career. Halloween 2 was 3 years later and I believe only came out due to all the other slashers being popular at the time. And then they killed hon off for 8 years.
