honestly justice for oasis springs to be honest because i don't think there's a single house in that neighbourhood that i like. don't even get me started on the landgraab mansion

i really hate when ppl complain about “realistic” builds not being “realistic” enough. anything irl wouldn’t be realistic. furniture being replaced isn’t even realistic because it’s so expensive. it’s the sims. toilet paper is $50, roofing is free, and when you get rid of a wall you get your money back. Jessie did a good job in the last video and they did a good job in this video. if folks want realism they ain’t gonna find it in the sims 4 🤷🏻‍♀️

Girlie it's all make-believe, and she presented it as a realistic reno so the least it should be is realistic 😅 like Deligracy knows a lot about build permits, so whenever she makes a realistic reno she always comments on how hard it would be to do some things in real life that you can do in The Sims. I'm currently in the process of renovating my bathroom and making the sink and the shower switch places, and that has already set me back like 10k in my currency just for that and changing the tiles on the floor and walls. And that is an interesting way to play the game, is all.

@@LunaWitcherArt sure, but realistic doesn't always mean that big changes are impossible. It is expensive of course but I've seen house renovation shows where they make huge changes within a certain budget. If Jessie had a bigger budget in mind I still think it's at least not unrealistic, as those kind of changes have been done in real life. So I still think the possibilities with changes depend on the budget. You can move walls if you have enough money, you know. Like I said it is expensive but not impossible. That's what makes it realistic enough in my mind. Not a possibility for me personally but theoretically :D

realism in the Sims comes with a pinch (pound) of salt, but one thing that I find myself doing when I try these types of renos, is I pay attention to the roof lines way too much. I can't help it, but my brain is looking at that first roof line that you put down and my brain is going "oh noes, the rain will pool so bad and you'll flood your ceiling out!"

It's so funny to me how Jesse always has to add the standard British 'garden' that's a little fenced off area 😂 Just a little bit of Britain. Because in my country we would have a fence around the whole out perimeter of our section to maximise the outdoor space. Maybe it would be fenced off to separate the back and front section. And I know that in America they often just don't have fences... they're just all exposed

Love how this build turned out. A method to get rid of the tall walls that would be achievable irl would be plateforms. You could also use platforms to make a fake foundation. Roof trims can be replaced. Entire roofs can be replaced. It's expensive but is possible irl. My work mate renovated a house and completely replaced the roof, roof trim, gutters, patio, even replaced windows and made the front door larger. Cost him a lot but it turned out amazing.

Just renovated the roof. Completely new trim. Because insulation added a few centimeters. Even if you just exchange old shingles for new ones you can also change the trim. Roofs are not immortal.

Roof walls and underneaths of roofs being paintable individually would be so nice. I had a build where I used a roof to simulate a ceiling going downwards into a garage in the basement and it turns out... most of the roofs have no underside texture
