I'm drooling over that nice setup you have now. You would not want to see the mess of a van that I have. I can't wait until the day I'm my own boss and can set off time to organize my van to keep it that way all the time instead of how it is now. You might look in to putting up uni strut on the ceiling and mount some big pipes up there. I have 2 6" pipes in the ceiling.

Welcome to the Transit family!! We bought ours in 2016 and I never want to go back ... It’s nice to be able to stand, we can strap the old water heaters to the side standing up (no more rolling around), both the rear doors and the side doors are large enough for a forklift to drop a pallet and the overhead shelf space in the front alone is worth it ... ENJOY!

Lining the shelves with a Rubbermaid product that prevents sliding.... similar to a product that carpenters put on a work bench to keep what the are working with from moving.... Happy Fathers Day Chuck a few days late!!!!

I used the black foam you can tear pieces out to fit the tools, I installed a power inverter and installed it on bulk head and all my chargers and batteries are on shelf right behind drivers seat. I also had them install a LED light strip right Down the center of roof also tied into the power from the existing lights. Works amazing. Pipe wrenches are in foam and zero noises from them. Almost like a soccer van, except we’re making $$. I used 1” thick foam to go under all my pack out boxes. Nice set up CB and it will treat you right!

Back in March/ April, I designed and built my buddy's ( fellow Master Plumber) Ford Transit using American van equipment at my shop. It took forever, ( work got in the way for the both of us) but the end result was amazing, and I'm trying to get it in a Plumbing magazine. You made a great choice Chuck...enjoy your ride.

hey bro for your pipes, i've seen plumbers get 8" pvc or 12" pvc and strap it up to the ceiling inside their van, you can store your pipes inside there to save space

Chuck...get yourself some rolls of toolbox drawer liner....rubber that you can cut to fit your shelves and it will stop the sliding. Plus, you can clean it off easy enough down the road when it gets messed up.

In the uk transit come with a bulkhead as standard. It even has a hatch to put pipe under passenger seats. Looks great

oh baby...the HR....i would of smashed that joker up for sure here in ac. I could not fit in my shop. dealer brought me one in and I was like dude....you got me the wrong van...it was high top and fully extended. It was so nice. i had to pass on it.

think I'd go for some good silicone sealant if you insist on sealing the "wall" to help stop "shmells"....... as if you and clothing wont smell that way, and yes it you'll migrate the scent right into the cab, unless you shower and change clothes at customers, make sure every single thing is in the back and not up front with you, very hard to do :))

The Transits are imo the easiest to drive of the full size vans. Rented one a while ago, and I hate driving vans... but the transit was a dream to drive. Super easy to back up due to its large side windows /seat position and mirror set up. Good choice indeed.
