Picked up this “Barn find” (more like driveway find) 1973 340 Four speed to go along with my other Duster. It was last inspected/on road in 1996 and I have been trying for years to get this car, sending letters/leaving notes etc. and they finally called me to sell it. #mopar #car #viral #automobile #barnfind #video #classiccars #musclecar #restoration #moparornocar

Hey Hellacious Driveway, it all boils down to what you really want the car to become, for you. 1. Get her up and running really well and freshen up the interior some. At that point, someone will see it and have to have it at the right money for you. 2. Slowly rebuild the car to its original beauty and keep it. There again, somebody will want it worse then you for the right $$ at some point. Nice car! Great find!

@@rollinontwojohnny3586 thanks for the input. I don’t really want to sell it since i’ve always wanted a 4 speed 340 car. We will see though. I’m still going over the car now to try to get it started. It cranks but won’t fire. Not getting spark, wiring is a mess from being dry rotted/breaking. It has also been really hot out😂. That and my orange duster still needs a few things that I need to work on.

@@Drivewaytohell it’s a lot of work to restore. But they are easy to take apart. And if you do the work yourself. You’ll save a bunch of money and in the end it will be a new car not too many people have. I took mine completely apart down to the last bolt and had the body plastic media blasted. Three and a half years later it was mint. I painted mine PPG 2001 base coat four coats and eight coats of clear.

@@Eddie-di6eb6cv8v Yea I can take it apart no problem, the Orange one I assembled from nothing, no K frame, glass, interior, wiring etc. Put it together out in the driveway. Learned a lot from that but didn’t need to do any metal work. That’s what I need to learn.

Yeah, she's definitely in rough shape. I don't know what it's worth fully restored or how desirable it is, but unless it's got heavy structural rust, I'd say it might be worth restoring. The cost of restoring it could end up costing more than it's worth in the end though. Hard to say without seeing what it looks like underneath. Tough call. There's only so many left out there. Hopefully it's worth saving. Good luck with it. Interested to see what you do with it.
