I am in my first rotation and its so time consuming for someone working full-time! Do you have any advice on the midterm exam or how to do a case presentation video?

I am currently in a very similar situation at my clinical site….I’m going on my 3rd week and as of right now i don’t see how I’m going to be completely independent by the end of the practicum rotations but i can’t wait to be there

Thank you so much for the video, I am thinking about doing the post-MSN PMHNP at Chamberlain. This video was very helpful!

Have you decided?
@ellie75412 жыл бұрын
@@RN-PRN You have really inspired me….mostly likely Yes..and I am choosing Chamberlain because my hosptial has an affiliation agreement with them, so its a 30% employee discount…to me, that is pretty significant. And the post-MSN PMHNP consists of 11 courses. After working through the pandemic, and recovered (barely) from Covid (gotten from a patient despite wearing CAPR and PPEs), I have decided that maybe telepsych is what I like to do…especially focusing on grief and loss of pets. I feel, eventhough, I may make less compared to what I make as a senior bedside hospital RN…ultimately, I would have more job satisfaction in the long run.

Are you seeing patients on your own in your first clinical 6635? Im doing joint assessments where the preceptor is there and im asking questions to the patient as well, hopefully I will get to be independent soon but I do not feel confident at all right now to be by myself. Only week 2 of my clinicals first clinical. Please tell me how far you were before you started seeing patients on your own. Thank you.

Hi, there. I saw patients by myself half way in 6635. But my preceptor didnt push me. I also saw the established chronic med management. Once I got comfortable in that role, I then keep seeing other patients. I was def scared at first. I promise it gets better.

Hi! I love your energy and finding your videos are blessing! Thank you so so much for sharing such practical and honest experience. I will pray for your success. Quick question: would it be crazy if I take health assessment and pharmacology class together? I am also in Walden and finishing up pathophysiology and leadership class.
@RN-PRN2 жыл бұрын
Hi, if you are up for it you can def take pharm and health assessments together. Just know that you have work to do. It takes a lot of energy to take both at the same time. I feel like pharm, health assessment, patho are all hard. I took pharm and patho together and it was a pain. I did pass it tho. I failed health assessment because I was careless and it was my fault. Remember, week 4 and week 9 in health assessment is the most important of all. Good luck and thanks so much for your words of support. XOXO
