Lyrics: Holding up the red flag, we advance to attack With our rifles forward, we rush to assault Guiding the ranks of ten millions is That image of the banner of Songun Attack, attack, forward in the attack That's the General's revolutionary way Attack like lightning on Paektusan Attack like the thunder on Jong Il Peak Attack, attack, this is a battle of attack! Even if mountains stand in our way, they can't stop us Even if hordes of powerful enemies come, they can't break our defenses Countering them without stopping for a moment That strategy is invincible Attack, attack, forward in the attack That's the General's revolutionary way Attack like lightning on Paektusan Attack like the thunder on Jong Il Peak Attack, attack, this is a battle of attack! The goal of a strong and prosperous nation is our hope The goal of the cause of Juche is our victory Advancing like a storm on the straight course of Songun These are the steps on the forced march Attack, attack, forward in the attack That's the General's revolutionary way Attack like lightning on Paektusan Attack like the thunder on Jong Il Peak Attack, attack, this is a battle of attack!

Yeah, I agree. NK music has a lot of similarity with enka and older anime OPs. Maybe this similarity is due to "trot", which is a Korean musical style based on Japanese enka, popular in like the 1920s to 40s (but still popular with older generations today, including in South Korea). This sort of martial NK music might be in part inspired by trot (but also has a lot of the Soviet music tradition mixed in that would have formed it).

I'm going to say something strange, but communism gave me a reason to live when I was depressed, saved my live. I was feeling so discredited in my life and tired of living in a country as unequal as Brazil, consequently, of any form of capitalism ( that even if it works, it will end all life on earth). I'm poor here, when I had contact with Marx, Lenin, Engels, among others, my mind opened, the collective feeling began to pulse within me, my heart began to beat faster, I found a reason to exist. Then I discovered North Korea with all its music. Even when the body just wanted to die and disappear from this world, every time I accessed videos like this and "The Juche Idea is Our Victory" it sparked motivation for me. Communism, specially Juche Idea, saved me from my suicide.
