Pocket Drift Car with Gyro! Unboxing, Charging & First Drive!

In this video I unbox, charge, and drive the 1:76 scale RC drift car from Turbo Racing. While this likely won't satiate my need to get sideways in the most epic manner, it is the size of a hot wheel, and that is cool AF. I figured it would be an awesome little RC car regardless of how well it drifts, because honestly, I'm not expecting too much from something this small.
I have been itching to get back to playing with my RC cars, and recently came across this little mechanical wonder. It was advertised as a fully functional drift car with perfect counterbalance and a gyro to maintain the drift. Say whaaaat?😲
Okay, intrigued...then I saw it also comes with additional bodies to paint and is the approximate size (actually slightly smaller) of a Hot Wheel, which I still have plenty of, many from when I was a little kid. So, that was pretty much all I needed to hear; trigger pulled.

Thanks so much! Honestly, I haven't tested the range on it since I am usually sitting within a few feet of it, however the transmitter operates on the 2.4Ghz FHSS, so your nephews should have no problem playing with them in the garage, and even all of them playing with the cars at the same time. Hi I bought one these little drift cars but whenever but when I try to use mine the rc lights just flicker is there something i can do to fix it? I mean i put new batteries with the controller it comes with but I have no idea how to get it working lol i would really apreacite the help

Hi! Are they flickering, or just flashing? If they are flashing at a consistent rate, then you may need to bind the car to the transmitter. When the battery in my transmitter died, mine started to flash, but once it was charged and bound to the transmitter again, they went solid. To bind, there is a small opening/pin hole on the bottom of the car, just across from the on/off switch. Press that and it should bind to the remote, hope that helps!

How do you bind the car to the controller?

There is a small pin hole/bind button on the bottom of the car. It should be just across from the power switch. If the car is not bound to the transmitter, you may get flashing headlights only, once you bind, they should go solid, and you will hear the gyro once connected. Hope that helps!

I believe these are actually the same cars as the slidey boys ones. Both are labeled as turbo racing c64. And look the same and seem to be the same. But ones about $30 more for no reason.

Battery is 55mah, so it runs for about 30-45 minutes, and takes about 30 minutes to charge. Works well, fun little car. Can often be found on sale, but was around $130 when I bought mine. hi i bought one of these from slidey boys . mine is shaking even while driving straight. can you please tell me if yours did it well. Im thinking 3 reasons. 1)the floor is bad 2)it needs adjustments from the remote controller 3)its broken :( can you please help?

Hi @muratozkan8394, thanks for watching. Hopefully it isn't broken, not sure if I can help but I'll try. When I got mine, it did take some time to adjust the settings and get it to drive smoothly. The settings on the controller do help, but you may also need to tune the suspension if you haven't yet. If you take off the body, there are adjustment screws for the front suspension. You may have to adjust these slightly by gently tightening them down all the way and then backing them off about a 1/4 of a turn at a time and test driving it. Once you get it to respond and steer as you want, you can then try adjusting the settings on the controller. The following are my settings: TH-LM - 20/50/100 is set to 100 ST-REV is set to NOR TH-D/R is on setting 5 ST-D/R is on setting 4 SVC is on setting 5 ST-TRIM is dead center Hopefully that helps!

If the car shakes when driving straight, your SVC setting is too high. The SVC setting controls the gyro's sensitivity/response. I've had success with setting it to about the 60% mark, but it should work fine anywhere between 50-75%. Note that the more you turn down the SVC, the more the car will spin out if you give it too much throttle or turn too sharply. So if you turn down the SVC a lot, you may also want to slightly decrease the throttle setting and/or steering setting. Otherwise, you just have to be much make much smaller movements when steering and giving throttle. Lastly, if you prefer your SVC setting higher for drifting, like 75%, you have to go slower when going straight, otherwise the gyro will make the car shake, or just never go straight and instead always be drifting. It is a drift car after all
